  1. Once again our winter trip is over and cabin fever is gone for now. The temperature never got above 32, but the fishing was good. We never got out before 10AM because of all the generation. This was the first time we have gone to Lilley's this early in the year ,Jan 2 to Jan 5. As always they make every trip relaxing and enjoyable. We fished from Fall creek to Branson, caught a released 20 on Wednesday and 30 on Thursday, from stockers to several 14 and 15 and one was 17 inches. We were using silver spoons, black jigs and several colored rapalas. Thanks to the staff at Lilley's, they always make our fishing trips fun. I like the remodeling and updates to the cabins------- very nice. Looking forward to another trip in April , see you then. len tamborski
  2.      Applause to everyone at Lilley's landing. Always friendly, always clean and ALWAYS a good time.

The week of Jan 9 to Jan 13 started out warm and windy, and ended cold and predictions of ice. we left on Thursday.

We are not "power bait" fisherman so some days were better than others. On Tuesday we caught and released over 25 quality fish.

All were caught on 1/8 oz black jig, "mepps spinners" and small spoons. We fished from Lilley's dock down to the Fish House in Branson.

Looking forward to doing it again.                                                                                                              THANKS,

                                                                                                                                                               to everyone at Lilley's

  3. John and I visited "LILLEY'S" the week of Jan 20 to 24. the weather ranged from 60 on Monday to -2 on Thursday. We had enough cloths for the cold, but your face and bare fingers in 30 to 35 mile an hour wind and a minus wind chill, made it difficult to stay out more than a couple of hours at a time. Despite the weather we still managed to catch fish every day, including a small bass and a little crappie. All the fish were small. We even caught 3 browns about 13" to 14" long. all the fish were caught on either a "Cleo" or a no# 7 countdown Rapala silver and black. At least one generator running made for better fishing. We didn't bring any fish home, but that doesn't mean we didn't have a great time, thanks to all the great people and friendly service at "LILLEY'S. Looking forward to coming back- - -hopefully in warmer weather. THANKS to EVERYONE Len
  4. We visited LILLEY'S LANDING the week of Jan 7 to 11, 2013. Once again I would like to THANK the Lilley's and the entire staff for a great time. Always friendly and helpful and I appreciate that. Monday and Tuesday were very slow days for us, even though the weather was in the 50's, and the sun came out, there was just no water running. We caught a few on little cleo's and black 1/8oz. jigs. I ran into Phil and he talked about a place by the Fish House to go crappie fishing. I never new there were crappie in the lake. On Wednesday we caught crappie and trout using black, white, and yellow 1/16 and 1/8 oz. jigs. Thursday was warm, cloudy and raining. Some water was running. We switched to night crawlers and and drifted from above the resort to the public ramp. We caught several fish this way and didn't mind the rain. I'm glad we learned something new, It's always nice to catch something. Thanks for a great time. Len
  5. I have fished lake taneycomo for many years. I have caught many trout and several other species, but never a small mouth. has anyone heard of or fished for small mouth on taneycomo lake? If you have, please tell me where.
  6. monday day was slow fishing but the weather was nice and night fishing proved successful with a 3 1/4 lb rainbow on a 1/8 oz. black jig caught across from Lilley's Landing. tuesday was cold and windy, we only caught 2 fish all day, both on 1/8 oz black jigs.both were nice fish but not nice enough for the trophy area. wednesday water temp was 49 degrees and the fishing was getting much better. We caught everything on 1/8 oz black jigs and crawfish colored crank bait. people on the dock were doing good with power bait. thursday the water temp was 49.2 degrees ,fishing was good. we caught a lot of fish but only a few quality ones, those being over 15''. all were caught on black 1/8 oz jig and black mepps. THANKS to entire staff for a first class resort and as always a great time. Len and John
