  1. Is that first one a meanmouth?
  2. I would guess the salt content in the senko causes easier breaking and quicker sink.
  3. Dolphin shorts. Also, it would appear he has pantyhose on.
  4. Coming down to throw a few brush piles in around the dock this weekend. Don't think I will fish, quick there and back to Kansas City.
  5. I was wondering about the crappie
  6. Water temp 55 or so near the dam, only fished for about two hours but didn't do too hot. Tried Ned, jerkbait and wart, only caught two fish. One fish (decent 2# spot on jerk)and small smallie on "new" wart. Threw the ned a lot and not any action. Granted we were working main lake points,so maybe the good action would be starting to work in the cuts/coves pre spawn. Had boat troubles and had to cut it short, but should a guy be hitting coves/spawning areas or stick with main lake stuff?
  7. Were you vertical jigging or casting in/around the trees?
  8. Were the eggs about ready to go in the females?
  9. I am not sure who is serious or being sarcastic or just messing around, but you don't have to click on and read every single topic.
  10. As a crappie dock shooter I have some experience. My first thought is that it could get expensive because I assume the weighted custom hooks are not as cheap as a 1/16oz ball head jig, and the actual plastic bait is not likely as cheap as a 10 pack of crappie baits. The biggest issue i have when shooting is wrapping your bait around or going over/thru the dock support steel and breaking off the rig. I have always assumed that bass would/should respond as well as crappie, so it is a good idea though.
  11. Exactly, not only did he UNC guy touch it, but it looked like landed in bounds and was then thrown off other UNC player. Makes the whole sequence even that much worse of a call.
  12. It was obviously touched by UNC player, but the only replay I saw, it looked like the ball landed in bounds and was then "saved" by an Arkansas player who threw it off another UNC player and there was till one second on the shot clock. Did I just see it wrong, or did the shot land inbounds? I tried to look for footage on the internet but couldn't find any.
  13. Water temp today around noon at 7mm was about 50-51. Low water level and probably the recent cold snap made for very few crappie caught in my usual honey holes. What would normally be 18' deep was about 11'. Couldn't seem to locate them deeper.
  14. That is what I was thinking. There also used to be something called a phish stick. Think Solid rubber Zara puppy rugged Texas rugged without the weight.
  15. Very nice. You know, sometimes being landlocked is ok, you only fish what you can get to. Go out in a boat and you have 50,000 acres to guess at!
  16. My folks have a lake house in Buck Creek, and we have a sliding glass door that the glass has somehow been broken. I have had mixed results (by mixed I mean usually bad) getting repair men or services to respond or do a job, so was wondering if you had any recommendations for residential glass repair. I looked up glass repair on the internet and saw a few companies, but thought I would ask if by chance you guys had any insight. If not, I understand, it's not often that someone needs glass repair.
  17. I fish from the bank sometimes and it seems you get snagged more bringing it uphill. If on a boat you can go free it sometimes, but on the shore you don't have much chance.
  18. I am not nearly the fisherman as you guys, so I would be real content with catching 20 fish, keepers or not. Keep the reports coming, I'll be there in a week and a half.
  19. Nice job M Taylor. I would be happy with that! I will be at LOZ on Wednesday week after next. Always cool to watch them eat it, topwater or jerk. Headed to table rock for the first four days and then LOZ. Will post how I do.
  20. Does this typically involve treetops? Does it pretty much have to be in/around trees? Last thing, is it typically trees that top out under water a ways say 25' down in 80' of water, or would swimming around visible trees emerging above the surface work as well.
  21. Is this considered a "late winter/early spring" technique? Sounds like the locations are what would be classified as winter, at least as compared to spawn or spring. Kind of just wondering what water temps this pattern emerges or is it always an option? I am headed to TR on the 11th of march and wondering if this and the stickbaits will be going or will it be wiggle warts and neds (though Ned seems to work regardless). I always thought wiggle warts kicked in around 50-55 degrees.
  22. Very nice. That looks like fun, consistent action.
  23. Good point, I didn't even think about that since it is so far out of the realm of my thinking. They just both happened to pick the same BS lure. Maybe they both picked the thing that was most opposite of what they actually did or most outrageous, like when I tell my buddies I caught them trolling buzzz baits on the main channel.
  24. Swim baits used by top two.
