  1. If you buy straight from the store in Springfield they will give you the shirt, hat, or pliers right there. Im not far so i usually go to the store. I happily take the free stuff, doubt i would send in for it thought and have to pay shipping. Ive broke 3 sets of the $30 (free) pliers, they are junk unless your pulling a #6 hook out of a crappie's mouth.
  2. I cant even count the number of time i have heard someone tell me that their buddy is sponsored by Lews. Free T-shirt with the purchase of a reel doesn't mean they sponsor you
  3. Thanks Donna, He is 20 Months old. It wont be long till he is in the boat teaching me how to do things. I took him and momma over the summer and he loves the boat ride, everytime we pull in the garage he says BOAT. Love that little booger. His name is Ollie
  4. Yesterday was about as tough as it gets. I caught 2 bass in an 8 hour tournament, luckily one was 16" the other was 13". big one was on a real deep diving crank the other on a spinnerbait. Also caught a bonus 21" walleye that is nestled nice in my freezer next to his neighbor Bull Shoals walleye. Everyone was having a tough day, even the "pros" in the wrapped boats with TV screens, power poles, and of coarse the Buffs they were wearing on an 82 degree day
  5. I turned my free Lowrance buff inside out the other day so i wouldnt look like a complete idiot. They really do feel good on a cool morning
  6. 39 boat buddy tournament at the Kings marina yesterday that didnt have good results. I was there before weigh in and i bet i saw 15-20 people weigh in period. Not sure the weight but the big bass was 2.6 or 2.7. It was tough. Thats a lot of people to be casting all day for the big bass being that small. We didnt do real well either trim went out first thing in the morning and i had to drive around plowing water all day real slow, We caught a few spots on jigs but nothing big.
  7. I really like P Line. Strong and doesnt break the bank
  8. I used 8-14 and had horrible luck with it, Broke a lot of fish off for no apparent reason. There is a reason it is the cheapest flouro out there
  9. Thanks again for fixing me up
  10. Crazy i was there at the dock at like 330 and the guy at the dock cut me a cotter pin to put on my troller prop. Glad he was found
  11. I broke a Duckett and a Falcon Cara in the same week last month. One was my fault i picked up and it was under a cleat and snap, the falcon broke on a 12" spot . Got them both replaced for a lot less than i could buy them new for.... It happens i guess.
  12. Here is a real good video to start with, it covers the basics very well
  13. I wouldnt even crank my big motor, i have always wanted to put in and just use the troller. I just figured someone would throw a fit if they saw me launching a boat with a big motor
  14. I dont really think much is going to change FLW doesnt have a rod length limit and i dont see any of them getting longer rods.
  15. Ive heard of Rhonda Vincent, she was at Silver Dollar City a year or two ago
  16. Are their any restriction at the finley park with horse power.
  17. And i do agree they do bend easy removing from fish which can cause those things to not run tru
  18. Im switching all my flickers to hooks that are a little more open to catch the fish that just swipe at it. The bend in those flicker hooks are great when the fish want to swallow it but lack when they are skedish and just head butt it
  19. Im with you, i just constantly see people replacing hooks on everything and was wondering. Most baits people are replacing hooks on baits i have caught a ton of fish with and never seen a issue. only exception is the RC stick bait. They tend to break easily
  20. With wiggle Wart season approaching i was wondering what everyone does with the factory hooks. I cant say i have had any problems with them, I always hear about people replacing hooks on much higher end cranks, but never anything about the wart. Any thoughts?
  21. im thinking he must have meant 40'. 4' with a slab spoon would be hard to get it back without losing it i would think. Either way awesome fish. i cant break the 24" mark on walleye
  22. Lots of gar breaking surface and rolling around. Tons of bait everywhere. It is a very "alive" section of the lake right now
  23. Either way, why not tell us about these spoons. Seems like ya'll want to advertise so give us some insight on these things.. I always use war eagle slab spoons but these look great too so tell us about them!!
  24. Im with you on the not sitting. That is why i have never understood the kayak fishing epidemic. I would rather just not fish if i had to paddle my big butt around. More power to those guys that do it, just not for me
