  1. I got the President XT last year for my ned set up and so far it has been great. Casts twice as smooth and far as my Lews that cost twice as much.
  2. Ive caught some the last 4 trips out, from 14" up to 25"
  3. i guarantee more fish die per day from being deep hooked than from a spear on any lake in Arkansas
  4. Hey you forgot about sitting in the middle of Taney drinking beer with 5 rods loaded with powerbait
  5. In Lake Quachita you can spear bass. Yet it is still a good enough fishery that the Forrest Wood Cup is going there
  6. We should get all the divers together sometime at Diamond City. Ozark Angers have the one bass tournament on Table Rock, and Jig fest on the white river. Lets have spear fest at Bull
  7. Talked to him the other day and it isnt out to the pubic yet. Looks nice comes with a good hook and a removable stinger. The spoon ive been doing well on needs a hook, swivel and if you ad a stinger it turns into a $7 spoon. I have noticed the cables arent near as bad without a stinger. I havent noticed it making a difference in my hook up ratio.
  8. AGFC is pretty good about keeping spear fisherman honest, if they see a dive flag they are probably going to check you. My brother was down once and got tapped on the shoulder buy AGFC, they had him go up while they dove around and looked to see if anyone was killing illegal fish and putting them on an anchor line. After the diver came up my brother asked how he hell they even knew they were out diving and they told him they spotted them with the helicoptor
  9. isnt that the same with any fishing rod and reel or spear. HEck yeah im gonna target better areas than crappy ones regardless if im catch and keeping or releasing.
  10. Ive been fishing them a lot lately on TR. You do get hung on cables quite often but usually you can jiggle them free. in the last two trips i havent lost one. probably set the hook into 15 cables but somehow you can free them. Keep a hook sharpener on hand though
  11. You are living in a fairy tale if you think spear fishing is easier, Ive caught way more walleye by rod and real than spearfishing for them and the same for crappie. You have limited time under water to get the job done. Not to mention the effort that goes into diving. Dragging all that dive gear from the truck to the boat, taking it on and off 5 different times. IT is twice the work as sitting in a boat trolling around waiting for them to bite. Diving is a very physically demanding sport.
  12. Bass Pro Flutter Jack, Went back yesterday and we had 17.50 for our best five.
  13. thing is so big it looks deformed
  14. It was a great day, Limit by 6:30 around 13 lb, and culled up all day long. Spoon feeding them deep
  15. he bit where his tongue is and not where his mouth is if that makes sense
  16. Caught this one today and it looked like maybe from piercing cull balls or maybe he is just deformed. He just barely hit the 15" mark
  17. Ketchup is to busy hot rodding to worry about voltage. And his boat is about as fun as they come for an aluminum rig. I drove it the other day and couldnt wipe the smile off my face at 55mph running under 5000 rpm's....My next boat will be an Xpress
  18. That wind made it tough yesterday trying to get anywhere in my aluminum rig. I got soaked every time i crossed the lake, I was ok with that though. I had a pretty good bite catching them deep on spoons. Let my spoon hit bottom in 53' jerked it twice and one nailed it. That has to be the deepest ive ever caught one. Caught them all between 20 and 53, didnt even try anything shallower than 20
  19. Thats nice to know, my dads Xr6 had a 6 year old battery in it, Until i replaced it with my 2 year old battery when i got a new one. Luckily his boat is a garage queen
  20. Lot easier drive, My tow rig isnt the most desirable thing to drive through the twistys on the way to Eagle Rock. Pomme and Stockton are a lot of fun to bass fish on. Table rock has its days but more times than not it is much tougher
  21. Funny though, the grand kids can come down to the houseboat and fish off the docks and not catch any hell from it.
  22. I even had Ish on my team for a minute thinking it would be a froggin deal, but i dumped him the night before
  23. I think we should put on a regular 5 bass tournament this fall on Stockton or Pomme. I agree Eagle Rock is a long ways out of most peoples way. Especially if you live North of Springfield
  24. Hope i make the list!!!
