We are back home from picking up the new boat and trying it out/fishing on TR. Thought I would throw up a couple pictures of the boat. We will be at TR again the last 2 weeks of April so if any of you see this boat stop and say hi! Yeah I know we have talons on it but up here they actually do come in very handy. If we lived down there we would not have put them on the boat. LOL Charger 496 with a Merc 250 ProXS. It was cloudy so the pictures don't show off all the sparkle it has when the sun is shining on it. Here it is anyway..........

Thanks guys!! Gitnby: just got a chance to get on the net and sent you back a pm. Thanks a TON!! By the time we got boat and got to where we are staying we did not get on the water until 3:30. Fished/tested boat until 5:30. Caught two spots on the Ned and that was our only two bites. Both in 30fow. One back in fisher creek on a what I would call chunk rock point and one on a bluff end real close to where it would drop off really quick; that was a bluff just a little bit west of the 13 bridge. Hopefully have a better report tomorrow if the wife doesn't get too cold too quick. LOL I will say it is really nice to be in a boat in January instead of walking on water(ice) where we are from!

Gonna be on TR wednesday and thursday after picking up our boat. If any of you see a blue and silver Charger swing over and say Hi. We will be in the Kimberling City area. Any current tips on fishing that area would be greatly appreciated.

Have not shot many coons since the price is way down this year. Only went out twice and shot 8. You are always welcome up here! Seeing bobcats is always cool. I wish we could see foxes up here but there are so many coyotes the foxes are few and far between.

Never had any thoughts that I was the top as I know better than that. I have since found a good deal on a stella and a steez spinning and a couple steez casting that crank on the right(left) side. LOL

Not sure if I should feel special or not since my wife and I are a couple of those handful. LOL We were using Sustain reels on G Loomis GLX and NRX rods though. I guess I did use one of your Steez baitcasters since I did not bring any of mine with me that day. That Steez is a great reel; even though it cranked from the wrong side. LOL

While there may not be good options from the big companies there is a guy (dtrs5kprs) on here who makes FANTASTIC jig heads for the Ned.

I will second the super glue. It holds way better than nuskin or liquid bandage. The best thing to do is drink lots of water (hydrate from with-in) and use lotion BEFORE you get all dried out and cracked. With that said I am horrible about not doing that and am always fighting dried out cracked hands and the heels of my feet.

That is exactly what I was talking about. Just didn't think to say fluke as I normally throw the Bass Assassin.

Try throwing a soft jerk bait to the chasers. Throw past them a little and jerk that thing along the top real fast (think skipping it on the surface) until you get into the surface action and then kill it and let it sink. Not gonna swear it will work now but has been the hot ticket some times for me.
