  2. I wear those little tights too. Your suffering is not a big deal. Bikes have the same right to the road as you.
  3. Been there. No more. Last thing I need is a broken collarbone or another shoulder rebuild.
  4. You're definitely tougher than me. I am afraid to go over the bars.
  5. You're younger and tougher than me. On hills around here, I'll get in the little ring in front and the lowest one on the back and do my best to keep pedal RPM better than 60. I never look at the top of a real hill, just about 3 feet in front of the bike. I seldom stand to pedal - not never but seldom. Butt pain is often just being not used to the bike - or a poor saddle. Those big fat cushy looking ones are the worst if you ask me. I ride strictly Selle Anatomica. Expensive but worth it. Easy on the old prostate for an old man.
  6. It means don't give up and just keep riding. Not to be a discouraging person, but it will take you a few months to get bike fit and then it will be a lot more fun. At that point you will want it to get easier,, which it never does, you are just able to ride further and maybe a little bit faster. Edit: The saddles on both of your bikes look horrid to these eyes. You want something that the "sit bones" on your hips are supporting your weight. Padding does not help, fit does. As does time on the bike, even with a proper set up. If you want to be a bike rider, you might want to take what you have to a real bike shop and get their advice.

Marty: Margherita pizza is only good with proper tomatoes. You know what to do about a nice thin crust made buttery crispy around the edges. Get with it!
  8. I had a red one. 12th bday present.
  9. Janet rides something similar. I have a Jamis Coda Elite that I like a lot. And a Felt 29'er that I changed the suspension fork to a steel Surly fork. They're both good bikes. The Felt is much better off pavement, and the Coda is much better on pavement. Looked for a pic of the Coda but could not find one handy. But this is the Felt in it's current configuration.
  10. I was wondering that too. I like being married so much I've done it three times!
  11. That's about what I do too. On a good day, maybe 12. Depends on the surface, where, which bike and temp.
  12. I had an M80 go off a little early one time. No problem really though for my hands of steel.

    Gone now!
  14. That's what it needs to be on.
  15. Countdown Rapala in trout dress works too. When it comes to throwing a spoon, make mine kastmaster chrome and blue with white bucktail. Weight depending on flow. Keep going heavier until you start hanging up and then back off a bit. Second the motion on jig fishing - but will tell you it takes a bit to master the technique. Just keep at it and slow down - again until you start to get bottom. Then lighten up a bit.
  16. That didn't take long. Motor is sold again, assuming the buyer shows up with some cash.

    51!

I have on long pants and actually put on a light jacket to let the dogs out this morning. 51 farenheit degrees here at 6:00. What a welcome break in early August.
  19. I thought you had a Four Runner. If I'm wrong, please accept my sincerest apologies.
  20. I've seen what you drive Nancy.

    What's Cooking?

I have a dual fuel lantern that I use premium no ethanol unleaded in. Works great. I've been chicken to use anything but Coleman fuel in that stove. Been trouble free for a long long time. But honestly, I think the no ethanol unleaded would be fine too. I've got a spare stove that is the twin to the one in the photo that I picked up at a garage sale at the same time I bought the lantern. It needs a new fuel tank cap and plunger for the pressure pump. Thanks for the reminder, I'll go order them right now.
  22. OK motor is for sale again. Runs fine just not enough oomph for the Shawnee. Same deal as from Wily, motor, transom adapter, original lower unit, two cowlings, $750. In Ozark.
