  1. That's really great of Richard to do that.
  2. The Indians deserved to lose after that. Totally unforgivable. And it nearly happened again. I'm not really a virulent Cubs hater like a lot of Cards fans. I mainly hate to see a good curse broken.
  3. Looks like it will happen in game 7. Hopefully late in the game, after the Cubs fans think they have it in hand.

That chowder is not too dark. Looks and sounds like a killer.
  5. #4 is one of the craziest things I have ever read. Unbelievable. Or it would be if I didn't understand how loudly money talks.
  6. Folks, it's less about the docks than the shoreline development that more docks will bring. And there is where a significant portion of adverse water quality effects come from. Fight this tooth and nail.
  7. Same same Great Salt Lake. Check out the huge Cutthroat fishery in Pyramid Lake. Amazing. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=pyramid+lake+fishing&qpvt=pyramid+lake+fishing&qpvt=pyramid+lake+fishing&qpvt=pyramid+lake+fishing&FORM=IGRE
  8. I just e-mailed this to both legislators: Please do not circumvent the COE shoreline planning process on Table Rock Lake. There are already too many docks on the lake. We do not need to repeat the debacle of Lake of the Ozarks on Table Rock Lake.
  9. Hope the effort is successful, but I have serious doubts. Table Rock Lake is too popular for its own good.

You can also throw one in a good hot wood fire. A pop bottle melter grade fire. When the fire is out the next day, wipe out the skillet, oil it down and you are good to go. They had a lesson on this too but I think it was hillbilly school.
  11. Right now I am drinking a glass of El Miracle. It's an old vine Garnacha Tintorera. Translation - a decent Spanish Red.

I'm a philistine and use my cast iron for anything. Sometimes the seasoning gets wasted as a result. I just coat with vegetable oil so they don't rust and carry on.

Joe is not going to like us posting pictures of cooking and serving and eating equipment and having fun. Fair warning.
  15. WOW!
  16. That's too bad, you will be missed. I hope you have been pre-habbing, it helped me a LOT. Best of luck to you on a speedy recovery. I certainly do not regret getting mine done and bet you feel the same way soon.
  17. If you're able to make it, I can just about promise that you will have a good time. And I can 100% promise you won't ever leave hungry.

    Coolest bowl ever.
  19. Pretty much we all do.
  20. Lemme guess. Highway 125 Bridge.
  21. If comfort and stability is a factor for Mr. Babler, he can have a seat in my boat any time. It would be an honor.
  22. Bob isn't coming. It will be Lane, Tyler and moi Friday and Saturday nights. Looking forward to this. A lot.
  23. Our state Highway Department and many County Commissions are culpable in cutting off stream access points here in Missouri. It really is a problem. There are multiple places where there are no parking signs on both sides of county roads for hundreds of yards on either sides of bridges over streams here in SWMO. And multiple places where MODOT has blocked access to streams on highway ROW. Often done in the name of keeping out riff raff. To me, that's throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The public wants, needs and deserves stream access. Those are public lands and if law enforcement needs to get involved in a problem area, then they need to take care of it, not close it off to everyone. That's a lazy and very poor approach in my opinion.

  25. Yeah, that's a big one. Didn't appear injured to me. Hope they released it somewhere wild.
