  1. Its the internet. Thin skin will never last. Bo doesn't seem to be very thin skinned.
  2. That's a pretty big jump. Any state record fish is a heck of a deal. Congratulations.
  3. Shadmasters Elite Tournament Trail Extreme Pro Guide model rods coming soon to a tackle shop near you.
  4. That fish is lucky you caught him instead of me.
  5. If it's big enough to use the Expo Center more than likely you will be able to find a thing or two that will be worth having. I'll swing by for a look, that's for sure. But for me it's a 20 minute drive, not two hours.
  6. What's the current state record gizzard shad?
  7. 6'6" Light Fast or Medium Light Fast. Why? Sensitive, good casting control, good fish control. On the LF rod will be nanofil with 4 lb maxima leader. On the MLF rod will be either the same set up with nano fil or 6 lb diameter Gama mono. The LF rod is a Shimano Clarus. The MLF rod is a Falcon Original. I'm happy with both of them. If I ever want anything heavier (seldom on the creek) there is a St. Croix 6'6" Medium/Fast rod. Trying an Okuma reel on it with 8 lb. diameter Gama. But I really got that one to chase whites and hybrids with, probably won't see much if any creek action.
  8. Thanks for a great time Phil.
  9. Wow.
  10. A 17/54 will be a nice stable river ride. Enjoy it in good health.
  11. Phil this page calls up some malware. Just FYI.
  12. That's good to hear. I've got a nice pair of Maui Jim's but based on what you posted will give Costa a shot next time I buy.
  13. Everybody has those days now and then.
  14. So.. that;'s a 20" + brownie?
  15. He must have been fishing it wrong.
  16. You look like you're trying to swallow one too.
  17. No way. Nice FISH!
  18. Should have fished the ned. Also known as the slump buster.
  19. I don't want to be negative Nancy but isn't it really just a matter of time before they make it basically everywhere they can survive?
  20. How's your back doing?
  21. I'm a nanofil believer now too. Thanks to our mutual friend Ham. I've figured out that Alberto knot is a lot easier to tie with four hands when you have eyes as old as mine. P.S. Hope your daughter's team won!
  22. Yeah, he could not keep his hand off the reel handle and that was probably the biggest difference. That and line size. A good rod can make a lot of difference too, but only if everything else is right.
  23. Were you in AR or MO if I may be so bold? And is that an Okuma reel?
  24. I floated Rush to Norfork once. Quite the little float trip. Highly recommended. Other places? I'm doing a four day deal on the Eleven Point in May with two of my grandsons and their dad. Hwy 19 to Myrtle. Its about 32 miles which is my idea of about right for a four day deal. No hurrying and plenty of time to fish, camp and enjoy yourself.
  25. $4.99 at Tackle Warehouse. I just bought four and will send you one in gratitude for the way you have treated me over your jigheads.
