Countdown Rapala in trout dress works too. When it comes to throwing a spoon, make mine kastmaster chrome and blue with white bucktail. Weight depending on flow. Keep going heavier until you start hanging up and then back off a bit. Second the motion on jig fishing - but will tell you it takes a bit to master the technique. Just keep at it and slow down - again until you start to get bottom. Then lighten up a bit.
I have on long pants and actually put on a light jacket to let the dogs out this morning. 51 farenheit degrees here at 6:00. What a welcome break in early August.
I have a dual fuel lantern that I use premium no ethanol unleaded in. Works great. I've been chicken to use anything but Coleman fuel in that stove. Been trouble free for a long long time. But honestly, I think the no ethanol unleaded would be fine too.
I've got a spare stove that is the twin to the one in the photo that I picked up at a garage sale at the same time I bought the lantern. It needs a new fuel tank cap and plunger for the pressure pump. Thanks for the reminder, I'll go order them right now.
OK motor is for sale again. Runs fine just not enough oomph for the Shawnee. Same deal as from Wily, motor, transom adapter, original lower unit, two cowlings, $750. In Ozark.
I might cook outside once in a while. Actually this is a more or less permanent fixture on my grilling station. Anything fried happens here. Not a fancy solution but man it works great. Can't begin to remember how old it is - but it's a long long way from new.
For later. With chicken Kabobs. Bell pepper, red candy onion, portabella chunks, pineapple chunks and some chicken breast. With grilled hamburgers and green beans with red potatoes. Guess who changed her mind.
