  1. Piker. Wannabe. Copycat, not the original thinker.
  2. It was during the height of the big time "War on Drugs" Craig Hill was his name if you want to look it up. The arrest and court case happened in Nevada MO, Vernon County.
  3. I still have wood over one of my high school classmates and friend dying in prison for selling an ounce of weed to an undercover cop. Edit: PRISON. Not the county hoosegow. Hard time prison.
  4. Reagan administration started out dealing under the table with Iran even before getting sworn in. And proceeded to single handedly make the cocaine cartels a real thing. And then act all indignant and declare war on drugs. HARDY HAR HAR. And his crowning glory was to convince all good 'muricans that debt doesn't matter. I put him near the top of the list of worst presidents ever. Except for the part about the horoscopes and psychics. That part was great.
  5. I do not think there is much realistic hope of stopping the spread of what is proving to be a true pandemic. IMHO the focus should be shifting to strengthening the nation's health care capability. Not give up on containment measures, but be prepared for a lot of sick people needing care.
  6. I always wondered if he was maybe playing for the other team. I mean Tony Orlando and Don. Makes me think twice.
  7. That's the kind of thing that will put you in the nervous hospital.
  8. He was shy. Very shy. Painfully shy. Kind of guy who would only use all kinds of euphemisms for sex. "Fooling around" "Sparking" "Canoodling" and so on.
  9. Have I ever mentioned that everything is everywhere in here before? I think so. This novel coronavirus is just another example of that rule. Which is actually more of a guideline than an actual rule, but it does have an application in to the committee to get a promotion.
  10. Harsh is part of funny.
  11. Harsh.
  12. Why would you start caring now about what people think? Right???? Call it "True tales of Oneshot" or "Tough times call for a tough guy". Or "A lesser man might complain."
  13. DJT shook the hand that shook the hand of the man with the virus (at CPAC). But I'm sure it's not a problem. And he wouldn't even go to CDC when they thought there was a case there. Reminds me of good ole Cadet Bonespurs.
  14. As opposed to Italy. And the U.S.
  15. Boeing might not even survive. Sad state of affairs for sure.
  16. Won't be a problem according to this site. https://northspore.com/pages/spawn-faq-1
  17. People do like being in control of others.
  18. See. Right again.
  19. That son of yours can't do anything right, even the wood he cuts won't burn. 😡 He needs to get a wife who can do stuff for you instead of him messing everything up. Maybe you can work on that a while for him.
  20. Thanks. I've got the two logs we made Sunday in what should be a good spot. East side of cellar entrance, south of a concrete planter that's a repurposed freeze proof concrete cattle watering tank so well protected from the wind which was stressed in class and also shaded from late morning on. The cellar sump pump discharges just upgrade of the logs. It's always a wet spot except in really dry summertime. They should stay well watered there and if supplemental water is needed, the garden hose is always available. I'm going to give a couple of different oyster types a whirl. Know nothing about lion's mane - but inoculation products - both sawdust and dowels are available for them too. Dowels seem so much easier, can't see any reason not to use them.
  21. We got home with two logs that are both shitake inoculated. This time next year I'll have ten logs and a variety of mushroom types.
  22. Didn't hear anything about actual seeded logs but did hear and see lots of other indoor grow methods and kits. The guy presenting the class had a big colony of oyster mushrooms he grew indoors on a roll of toilet paper! Had other examples for the class too. It was fascinating to me. I love mushrooms and I'm the least successful person ever when it comes to finding them in the wild.
  23. According to the class I attended, logs are best two weeks to three months after being cut in late fall through early spring. It's actually getting late now to cut them for this year. If they're very old they are more likely to have already been colonized by a species you don't want. And split logs are no good at all. The bark is very important. Helps to retain moisture which is essential for successful cultivation.
