    What's Cooking?

Beanie wienie. Again. Sorry for being such a plebe.
  2. I agree. And the solution is easy but messes up the fun at the big weigh in. Poor excuse if you ask me.
  3. Do you suppose they cheat on their taxes, golf score and their wives every chance they get too? Lifetime ban if caught.
  4. I hate to say it this way but its the way I see it. You're more about tournaments than the fishery.
  5. Forget my earlier reply. Why would it?
  6. Only if you think tournament bass fishermen would stoop so low as to cheat. I believe in the strength and honesty of the human spirit and do not think anyone that is a true sportsman would ever do anything like that. Especially if there is a lifetime ban if you are ever caught cheating.
  7. Catch, photo, weigh, release. Except that it's too hard. And it's no fun back at the big weigh in.

    What's Cooking?

I occasionally put sour cream in scrambled eggs if there's some in the fridge. Lately been adding some ricotta that was left over from an earlier cook. They will both give you some creamy goodness in your eggs.

    What's Cooking?

Avocado toast with a perfect over easy egg on it. Runny yolk, set white, no crispy edges.
  10. I'd have one medium spinning rig with 6 lb. Maxima or your other favorite mono.
  11. Yeah. Nobody talks about mad cow disease anymore either! Don't know about you, but I've never seen any of these so called prions. Why worry?
  12. Yeah. How come deer never get mumps, measles, chicken pox and polio! It's a conspirathy I tell ya!

    What's Cooking?

Not sure if you've ever had posole. It's pork butt reduced to chunks, browned and the same amount of onion cooked translucent. Then a quart container of vegetable broth and about a cup of diced green chile. I got lazy today and used canned. Four cloves of garlic crushed and two cans of hominy. White today but yellow is just as good. Added some red and bell pepper and it's been stewing for the last three hours or so. It's green and smells real good. When I serve it there will be chopped cilantro, sour cream and a lime to squeeze on top. Ness will probably pass on the cilantro.

  15. Made my day! What a smile.
  16. That's my idea of a good dessert. Nice fish. Sure it made for some nice pleasant dreams drifting off to sleep.

You would of!! That turkey looks and sounds great and so does your mole. Love grits. A great base for a lot of dishes. Googlefy Nassau Grits just for a start.

    What's Cooking?

Tri tip on the egg, baked potato, green beans.
  20. It'll warm up sooner or later. Come August, you'll be wishing for thunder and ice pellets. Patience grasshopper.
  21. I will try that!
  22. Texture is meatier than most fish. If it tasted muddy nasty, it wasn't cleaned right. Zero red can be left and there is a lot of waste getting them ready to eat. If it ain't white, it ain't right. Out of four good size fish - somewhere around 160 lbs. live weight, I wound up with four gallons of meat.
  23. You guys had a great day. We had eight Thursday on Truman. I wound up with four gallons of cleaned meat. Love it smoked/grilled. They are a PITA to get ready, but it's worth it.
  24. 6 broccoli sets and 6 Brussel sprouts sets went in yesterday. Just in time for me to have to cover them up with buckets at night.
