  1. That really is a heck of a shot of that eye. I may have to make it my wallpaper. I did! It is swell! (been watching Mad Men marathon)
  2. You look so serious!. However, I suspect it's an act. Nice eye.

Maybe bok choy? Think stir fry tender crisp.
  5. Gauge doesn't look like it was at high level. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv?site_no=07189000
  6. Where were you fishing?
  7. I smell copyright infringement.
  8. A jet pump would be one of those possibilities.
  9. That's a steal.
  10. Go ahead and take a chance and make a dozen. It's not that hard and then you will know for sure. I couldn't stand it and had to try one. They are righteous and will only get better. Smoke is just right, they need a few more days to pickle better.
  11. That looks really good.
  12. I'm nothing compared to you.
  13. They've been on best part of an hour and that's about the color I was looking for. So on to the next step. Voila! I'm thinking they might be kind of good. I have to confess I made these to take on the 3 day Eleven Point Trip with my grandson. We're floating down there Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. No point in not eating well on the river.
  14. Yardbirds They are laying like crazy now. This is four days worth of eggs less a couple that were breakfast. Apple trimmings. Indirect and as cool as I can keep it. I'm thinking probably 30 minutes to an hour. I just want them to get a little tan color and then into the pickling jar. Pickling liquid: 6 cups cider vinegar, 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar 2 tbsp. kosher salt, 2 tbsp. pickling spices, 3 cloves garlic sliced, 1 Vidalia sliced and separated into rings. Boil everything but the garlic and onion for five minutes, eggs, garlic and onion into pickling jar. When the eggs are ready of course. Stay tuned. This is real time.
  15. Chief had some yesterday. Some Amish market deal. They were really good. I'm certainly not above being a copycat.
  16. I'm going to make some smoked pickled eggs. They're boiling right now.
  17. Chief and I took a little trip yesterday afternoon. Caught a 10 1/2" goggle eye on the first cast at the ramp. He went straight in the cooler as I was thinking fish fry would be good. First cast curse got me, not another goggler the entire rest of the float. Caught a few Neosho strain smallmouth, Chief had the trifecta. Overall fishing was surprisingly slow. Water was a nice level and a great color. Be warned, there are several spots that are blocked and require lining boat over or under or through down trees all the way across the river. Had a good time in spite of the slow fishing. Thanks for meeting up Chief, and showing me the smoked pickled eggs.
  18. I'm sure you are a very good mechanic. I've also seen with my own eyes what ethanol/gasoline looks like after sitting in a tank (indoors) over a winter. I also know there really is such a thing as premium with no ethanol in it. On those two issues, you and I will just have to agree to disagree.
  19. That defect would for sure affect how the boat handled. Good that you got it taken care of.
  20. Once in a while we are all wrong. This time it's your turn.
  21. They were all full of boats.
  22. 66 in Branson West has ethanol free.
  23. I made three or four drifts and it was blowing me up the river so hard I gave up. Tried again on the rocks below point lookout, not as windy, but still too windy for me. So not only no fish pics, no fish. 1/8 oz white, 1/8 gray/white and 5" silver countdown Rapala = zip. Truth in advertising.
  24. Yesterday afternoon. It was WINDY!
  25. This passed in August of 2014.
