  1. Looks like they’re going to be a Table Rock in May . I would say the number of fish caught will dwarf this tournament .
  2. Fin and feather still had some about 3 weeks ago
  3. Thanks for the info! My neck was hurting last night from starring at the darn thing. Yeah figured missing them was part of the deal. Thanks again
  4. Put in at Mill Creek at about 7:30. Water temp 43 and got up to 45. Visibility seemed to be around the 10-12 ft range. First fish came early on the Alabama rig 16” smallie sitting on a gravel main lake transition . From there it started to get rough. About an hour later another Keeper smallie off a bluff end on the Ice Jig. Thought that was how the day was going to end . Went about 3hrs without a bite. Moved to a long gravel roll off and found the spots and they were all good ones . In about 10 minutes put 5 in the boat all keepers with the biggest around 3.5 . These fish were over 80 . They seemed to be right in the top of some trees . It was almost impossible to catch them if they were solo. A few times I would have one interested and another would come shooting from the depths and hammer the ice jig . Little to no movement was key with this bait . A few times I would have one following on the graph and a small twitch would scare them away . I probably missed 7-8 others . Ended the day with 7 keepers and zero short fish. I’m just starting to touch the surface of these deep fish . I just installed a new garmin 93, it was so much fun watching these fish eat on the unit . I do have a few question on fishing this lure . I really couldn’t figure out the best hook set for the bait . It seemed like a quick real and a sharp hook set was working . I was fishing it in a heavy action rod with 20lb floro. Looking for suggestions on line size and rod type . Thanks as always and good luck !
  5. Yeah, last time I was at table rock everything was about 2 feet under . That was a few weeks ago .
  6. Awesome! Thanks guys
  7. I’m needing to go to the lake. Saturday looks ok. Was wondering if they have moved the docks up yet. I heard they wouldn’t move them until the shutdown stops. Specifically Aunts, Mill, and Big M.
  8. I almost always launch north. Last year when the water was high I used the campground ramp without issue .
  9. Piney creek wilderness
  10. Slid the boat in at mutton creek at approx 7:00am. The lake was slick calm with water temp hovering around 47. Started catching on the first stop with two nice keepers. For the first half of the day the bite was pretty solid. I caught six in an row off one little rocky transition, they were smashing the jerkbait . There really wasn’t a solid pattern that I found . Mostly just fishing transition banks , and whatever else looked fishy. Caught a total of 20 shorts and 8 keepers . One nice walleye. One bass was a solid 3.5 . All on the jerkbait. Certain colors were better than others today .Water temp was up to 50 degrees when I pulled out . Looks like the stickbait bite is here for winter ! Water clarity was about 3-4 ft . Got a little more stain up the river.

  12. Do any of these walleye naturally reproduce in any of our lakes ?
  13. Everyone says it’s not that hard to do a catch weigh photo release deal .But this picture right here shows just the cluster that would ensue. You can’t have an accurate measurement when your hand is hanging onto the scale . Not saying any pressure is being applied but I wouldn’t accept this entry .
  14. I honestly think Table Rock has plenty of fish . I believe with the decomposition of the standing timber the fish have started to use open water more . Making fishing a little more tough. Every lake that has ever been impounded has a surge in fish populations the first 10-20 years after being flooded . Until all the new cover starts to decay. We know there is plenty of forage fish in Table Rock . We know most of the fish live deep and follow bait . Look at some of bills posts about magnum spotted bass that he feels have never seen a lure . You can’t go down the bank throwing a ned rig and expect to catch multiple 5 pounders . The big ones are still there , but maybe just maybe they have wised up to the same old tricks .
  15. Might try the same tactics just shallower. Sounds like my old man caught them in about 10-15 the past two days in the brush . He had 14 yesterday
  16. That’s the only reason I’m saying don’t read into the low weights. This lake is about to really bust loose. With the conditions this weekend I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes 20+ to win AIA
  17. Yeah thanks for getting that boat humming again ! Ran about 40 miles one way . They were mostly on the bottom. I think I caught one suspended . That bite is on its way for sure.
  18. I ended up weighing 16.11 on the first day , and 13.8 the second day . Ended up finishing 2nd in the BFL
  19. Shallow was the main pattern for the BFL. I wouldn’t read too much into the low weights. The fish still bit pretty good on Saturday. Sunday was a little different story but there was a lengthy fog delay that contributed to some lower than normal weights. They definitely bit better Saturday. Everything I seen was from 15ft in . A lot of dry spells followed by quick action. I really had to commit to going shallow and stuck with it all day long Saturday and Sunday.
  20. Calm Waters on Indian point has little A-frame cabins. Plus the owner Chris is an awesome dude, as well as a good fisherman. I was really impressed with how clean and updated the cabins are.
  21. You will be perfectly fine at Baxter. I’ve put in at pretty much every army corps ramp on the lake with a 2wd and I have never had a problem.

    Hello

  23. Tough to say. This is the reason Table Rock is so tough . Not only is there a massive amount of surface area , but you figure in the depth of this lake and you might as well be hunting for Nessey with a pair of goggles and a snorkel. Some days it’s easy. Some days I wish I would have played golf... and I get ticked golfing. I’ll be on the water Saturday seeing what happens. I have a strange hunch that there’s enough fish suspended in the first 10 ft that a top water might be the deal . All day long... Of course I like the best 5 and if it’s only 5 bites that’s fine . Two weeks ago I caught some top water fish I thought were random over the same places the FB jig was working . The jig will definitely get some play also. Just saying there’s a chance these suckers are looking up.
