  1. And Long Creek arm.
  2. In Biden's world there would be corks coming out, attached to a string of course for safety.
  3. I don't fish there a lot, but I have decided that it isn't worth getting out of the truck if they aren't running water in the spring.
  4. That's what it looks like. The volume is so far out that there might be a problem with the transmission or the gauge also, unless you've had a lot of snow suddenly melted by rain? It looks like they have had some trouble with that unit. Look at Feb. 22.
  5. I'm glad you KC boys have had a chance to get used to snow and have your snow shovels oiled, cause it looks like chapter 2 is about to open.
  6. I believe there was a video of some jig fishing from a boat on here at one time. Maybe someone knows where it is at.
  7. I don't quite understand the one to mount gunwale to gunwale? It looks to me like you sit between the side rails and, if so, it would hinder turning to face the shore when fishing
  8. If it hits the 50 that's forecast they should be by noon or so.
  9. That's one side and then you have the Casey murder where the jury found her not guilty because they couldn't prove how the little girl was killed. They had all kinds of evidence that she was probably smothered, but not absolute. This guy knew how to kill and not leave evidence. There was a lake behind his house and that's probably the resting place of #4, but they thought it was too big to drain.

Do they stay shallow and active through the winter in your area?
  11. We got very little ice here and that was my biggest fear, that we would lose power. Other than that it didn't really cover the ground completely because the wind blew what was mostly sleet into the lower areas. I had 3/4 to 1" on my deck, but it's mostly airy ice.
  12. Something to think about is the weight rating of a rod and how it plays out in reality. You will generally get a better caster out of a rod with a narrow window. The reason is that the manufacturer can use more of the blank for casting a given weight which in turn slows down the delivery making them more accurate and forgiving. Higher end rods with a lot of choices tend to narrow their weight range because they can get a smoother casting rod.
  13. That is hard to watch Phil. We've had some of everything going on here since late last nigh. The good thing is that we've had very little freezing rain so far and the power is still on. When I lived in OR I had to cross the Cascades twice a week for a couple of years and I can tell you studded snow tires are worth every penny. I did see some great evidence of mental shortcomings though.
  14. There aren't many accesses after the Forest Service access and that coupled with it's connection to the lake keeps it in good shape fish wise. The lower end gets hit pretty hard by people keeping fish, but it's also virtually an arm of the lake.
  15. I went to the Branson Hills store and like Jerry's, it was packed. First thing I saw was a display of generators, can't say Wally World isn't on top of the market.
  16. Yeah it appears that you're well into the snow/sleet band Wrench. This area is on the line and apparently it's a toss up between sleet and ice. White River has done a good job of keeping limbs away from the lines here. The big problem is that there is no room for trees or tree tops to blow down in the wind because of weight. Time will tell.
  17. Will we have have power tomorrow? Anyone's guess, I know, but the suspense is there. I'm not a fan of long term power outages, at least if they last more than 30 minutes.
  18. No. I would take my raw jigs, naked, and hang them on a metal coat hanger hanging from a nail. This so the won't slide together. Take a can of primer and spray the heads. After it drys I painted them with a can of flat camo paint. What I used was olive and brown because that was the color most of my skirts were. My best colors were those colors in bucktail with 2 legs on each side, chartreuse on the olive and orange on the brown. This wasn't a commercial finish, but it worked well for me. It was cheap, easy, and durable.
  19. I don't think it would be as easy as obtaining a gar, sounds like he needs more than one. Sounds like a snipe hunt.
  20. I did that for awhile, but being mostly lazy I quit. I haven't made any in awhile now, but started taking a different approach, rattle can! Given the fact that my old friend Ollie never used anything but lead color, and caught more fish than most, it appears that head color isn't critical to the fish. I hung mine on a wire coat hanger and sprayed them with primer. After they dried I sprayed them with a flat camo paint. One could obviously do white or chartreuse, I tied every thing in browns and olives for bottom work. I never had a problem with losing paint from use or in storage.
  21. There's a ramp right on 13 on the Grand arm. It's at the end of the last bridge, heading north.
  22. We used to rent wooden jons on the Pomme at Fairfield and they were rock solid. I'm guessing the were 15-16' with a 48" beam, its been awhile. I'm pretty certain they were pine, which was common in MO at one time. My GS still has a 10' Richline that I got in the late 50's and it's stable within reason. It will work for 2 adults in small waters if they aren't real large.
  23. You would probably like it from Hazelgreen on down.
  24. A Falcon Low Rider will do it, the LFC-3-166 LR Finesse Special Will do it. It's rated 1/8th - 3/8th oz. Falcon for what ever reason puts a long handle on their casting rods and it's easy to chop 3" off the butt. I have this model with a Curado Bantom on it and you would never know it had been chopped 3".
  25. Some of the 5000's all the way up to the 6500 in the cat size. I bought two off of Ebay because my ancient 5000 didn't have the capacity I thought I needed. I answered to question of a clicker by looking close at the pictures. I think I paid about $50 a piece for them and they were both in excellent condition. I used the pictures to confirm condition also, some listed as very good had a lot of scratches and dings.
