Title states it. I've never floated this stretch. Is this boat too much, will it drag everywhere? Looking at going around first of Oct. I've got a 2.5hp motor or a trolling motor id take as well. short float, just looking to stop and fish. Also, hows the takeout at Turner?

taking the family to Breckenridge in 2 weeks. we'll be there from the 15-22. My son (he's 6) and wife fly fish and we'll be looking for some action while we're out there. Any suggestions for a lake to hike to and fish or maybe a feeder creek to hit up? Its been a long time since ive been out there but i recall fishing the blue, arkansas, miracle mile, and a few others but i really dont remember exactly where and from what i remember it was prob more technical than what my 6 yo can do. His goal is the catch a cutthroat. I'm thinking he may have more success fishing a mtn lake vs something like the blue.

Ive got a 94 Evinrude VE70TLETS. Its been running fine this spring until yesterday. Just this weekend we had fished all saturday and all sunday with no issues, until heading back to ramp. start it up to head back to ramp and its cutting out as im throttling to go, like a fuel issue. it continues to cut out the whole way back. at the courtesy dock it will rev high RPM in neutral but when its in gear it wants to die. as im putting boat on the trailer it would die out as im throttling to get it loaded all the way up. ended up having the crank the boat on the trailer. fuel is new. fuel filter was new last summer. BUT carbs havnt been cleaned in a while and I dont recall when fuel lines were last replaced. im thinking its carbs or fuel lines. Any ideas?

how long is the float from 215 to taylor when your fishing? is that a 3+ hour float with the water running that way it is now ? does it take longer as the water drops with less flow?

havnt been to the little this year. Hows the ramp at the steel bridge? Can you launch a boat there or is water too high? usgs showing it has dropped quite a bit.

i talked with a couple guys today who said the same. they were catching some small ones consistently about mid week last week.

I quit counting fish after 1. but even up until then its still a good day fishing. anything after 1 is a great day.

I called the park office yesterday and they suggested I get there the sunday before labor day weekend for a first come- first serve site. May just be better off postponing the trip for a week and going the following weekend or even later in the fall. besides, i think my wife is the only one excited about camping in summer. id rather wait til temps cool down.

thats what im afraid of. i cant get there that early in the week. guess im hoping to waltz in on Thursday evening and get a non-reservable site.

Haven’t camped here in prob over a decade. I know the park has several first come first serve sites, but how fast do these fill up? And on Labor Day weekend, how early in the week do you need to get there to get a spot, any spot? I was thinking about fighting the crowd and going Thursday after work and trying to stay thru Sunday but don’t want to risk driving there if nothing available. What do you think, how busy will the campground be on Thursday? 100% occupancy?

serial is OR257977 Thanks for the link. Using that site I found a 'kit' for $85. way too much. may just take it apart and try to clean it up without replacing anything. another thing, any ideas for a cowingl gasket? mercury wants $100+ for a new one.

trying to help my neighbor out. He just got a 2008 mercury 3.5 hp, model f3.5m i think. motor sat with fuel in it for years before he got it. he cleaned up, checked all the lines, etc. now the problem is it runs when you start it with starting fluid but dies quickly. I think the carb is gummed up, maybe float is stuck. any other thoughts? however im trying to find a carb kit for this motor and didnt see anything in the sierra marine catalog. im not familiar with mercury motors, can anyone recommend a good website with manuals or schematics, part information? Im just trying to find a carb kit for this thing but i cant seem to find what carb it has.
