  1. I remember that. Let's not go down that road again.
  2. I am offering some jigs for the benefit of St. Judes Childrens Hospital. This is an amazing place, full of very sick children and dedicated professionals. They rely on donations and it is my hope that we can help. Please see details here. http://www.bbcboards.net/lures-fishing-stuff-personal-sales/600252-jigs-st-judes-childrens-hospital-batch-2-a.html
  3. I dropped off a dinged up prop today. Great folks
  4. Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. Naval Jelly is outstanding for removing all rust. It contains phosphoric acid which quickly converts iron oxide to iron phosphate. Just wipe it off. Super easy to use. After rust removal, add what you like. Applying something over the iron oxide doesn't get rid of it all.

    What for?
  6. We got out about 10 but had a slow day fishing between Baxter and CP. The wind and rain were on & off. Tried some of everything. Settled on a mixed (marabou-hair-silicone) and caught some decent LM with it between 12:30 and 2:30. They were tight on cover 12-15' deep. My partner caught about half a dozen Shad on a SB. We got hungry and headed home about 4 PM.

  8. Everywhere we fished between SK bridge and Campbell Point, today, we picked up green slime when we drug a bait. Are you guys seeing that?
  9. I'm glad someone caught them today. I had a very slow day
  10. Matt Straw wrote an article in the latest In-Fisherman magazine called "Novel Ways for Walleyes.". The first part is about LaPine's Three-way rig, using tandem streamers. If you look closely at the picture (page 37) it appears there is some type of float stick or attractant sponge tied onto the hook. ??? Have any of you guys used this system for white bass or walleye? It looks interesting, though I rarely fish for those species.
  11. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "an idiot bait in the extreme". Please explain.
  12. You have no idea how hard it was to turn the boat sideways to take those pictures
  13. We got on the water at 7:30 had a great day today catching dozens of Bass and several Walleye. Off he water at 4:45. Mostly Spinnerbaits and jigs in 4 to 10 feet of water from the points all the back into the coves/creeks. Caught a few on Mr. Ned but mainly used it as a follow up bait after missing a fish. I saw what I thought might be QB's boat and pulled up to introduce myself. Same first name but different fellow. Great guy. We talked awhile and traded Intel. He has a bunch of Grandkids and had not heard of Ned. I rigged up 4 or 5 for him, gave him a dozen homemade jig heads and a sack of Zinkers. Hopefully that will work out for him. I also gave him a Preacher jig and a hair/silicone jig from the Skunkworks. He showed me his favorite SB and I happened to have a few. Gotta love a win-win encounter. I invited him to join us here.

    Tuesday

sounds like a great day. you really covered some water
  17. Thanks for the report. I am glad many of the good sticks on this lake do not act like everything they catch a fish on is a State secret. You certainly figured out a pattern and made it work for you. Congratulations!
  18. Nice fish. It sounds like you figured them out
  19. We fished for a few hours today and caught 3 nice K's dragging a Zoom Critter Craw in GP Purple. We lost a few when my 4 year old Grandson was helping but it was worth it. I wish I had thought to bring my phone and video him trying to swing a feisty K into the boat It was a Great day
  20. Thank you for that report. I hope to get out tomorrow
  21. Thanks, QB. We just got to the lake and saw a bunch of boats running up the Kings River. We have 56 degree water here at the junction? I have the grand babies so fishing time will be limited. I appreciate the Intel.
  22. I am sorry to miss this event. I'm not a tournament guy but would enjoy meetings y'all. We are still in the Florida Keys.
  23. Joe, I will buy it, if still available. Email sent
  24. Hard to find a better guy than Jim

    Ice Jigs

Thanks guys, Sportsmanship and BP were both out of colors I wanted and was Cabelas & BP St. Louis. I was able to get a couple from a friend but could not get the suspended fish we marked on graph to bite. Lily had a bad day on the Jerkbaits but I caught a 17" and a 17.75" LM on a home made gray & white Hair & Feather jig. Fat rascals too. I saw one of them attack the jig - great fun. The White is as clear as I have seen it. Caught 3 nice Ks on a FB jig. Windy but a great day to be out.
