  1. I don't know anymore but i know it has been shallower behind my dock. X Factor i think you might be right about the dick damage and deicers. It can alsobe worse if your dock is facing south or south west or southwest. that where our warm weather comes from.
  2. To me it does not matter if its scripted are what. the final product just reflects on the people of Arkansas in a negative manner.
  3. yeah i was thinking the same thing. i looked up Truman's level so i cam see maybe 2 more fest. the back side of my got has about 6 ft under it right bow but I moght have to remove the de icer. I could adjust it higher but the thing wouls shoot water 1/2 way to the roof.
  4. my neighbor tells me there was something on the radio that it was going down 2 more ft. I. have bot been able to find out anything . I have seen it down that far one time. The river and the ricer and spring will keep the very end of the your area open.
  5. Im not on tabke rock byt i git close to 100 11" ar longer , most about a foot long. some of the best worms i ever have used. mine are all in shades of brown.
  6. I have a friend takes some moral and crushes them in his hand and then sprinkles them around dead tree roots in the woods them around dead tree. roots in the woods. he swears buy it claims they will come up next year.
  7. well at least you can fish. it was reported our fishing is under 8" of ice. And the ice is all the way up to the face of the darn.
  8. I bet when this does go there if we get some sunny weather there is going to be and explosion of shallow fish. I have learned over past two years I do not need to be on mear the bank to catch shallow fish in early spring.
  9. i am wondering what is going on under e ice.
  10. The temp just a little bit ago got to freezing. And there is none of the part sun we were suppose to get. theres not many people around who have seen worse ice than this.was something in the paper last week that it is now all the way to the dam. they said that has never happened before. what i would like is a good report on how thick. thus stuff has gotten. We might be froze in down here for another week and a half.
  11. i think domebody has been after the firum for sometime. he treid flooding with memberships a few times
  12. I got to start my gardening next week in those few warm days. but its not veggies its all ornamentals. mostly cleaning out seting down compost around them. I am bot very good with veggies but give me. a hosta , heuchera or some annual flower and I shine vut I want to say from the pictures you all put on here last year there were some of the best kept gardens I have seen. Only thing I start early is a lot of rosemary. I put a lot of pots of it put for been a pretty good deer repellant.
  13. Same artitude works both ways and all this kind of crap just causes more division. I have attitude. I do not like yuppies.
  14. On LOZ there os more ice than most of us can remember. It goes all the way to the dam. now we got sleet and freezing rain. I was told friday by someone all lot of the ice was 4-5 inches and someone else told me there was mention of it in St Louis on radio are something saying it was 5-6. Im kisr sitting here on pins and needle about the breakup .my dock is 32x 32 and a good. target if SW winds pus the ice.
  15. sounds haef for me to believe the temperature down there would be in the 30's there 35 here on. LOZ at 6 ft. and we are ice locked like no time in several years. i would thibk it would be about 40 down there.
  16. Mitch we were going to take my boat. his son has many of the areas hydro graphic maps. that off the shore stiff is right up my alley. we were going to go it alone and hope for the best. i am up in your neck of the woods today baby sitting. I do not like the looks of the weather. I know how st is and that sky looks like heavy snow to me.
  17. Jerry----- enjoyed reading reading that. I seen the photo of him with the big smallmouth for Lake Erie. My daughter lived in Ohio for several years. Her husbands brother fished Lake Erie for Walleye mostly. He considered Smallmouth a nuisance. he had pictures from recent years of several 4 lb smallmouth because he kept them with much larger Walleye. He also caught Muskies in the 20 to 25 lb range. All of this and he was a committed troller. I have a friend his son is based in Detroit for Harley Davidson sales. My friend has been up there 3 times. They get a guide and troller for a day. I cannot believe the smallmouth they catch in that place. We would have went together this next June but he and I both both had Prostrate cancer this past year and now he has it in his kidneys as well. But all you smallmouth bass fisherman should check that place out. it is a shallow hard to fish lake with many high spots and other underwater structure. But what I have seen makes me think it must be one of thr finest smallmouth lake in the Nation if not the world.
  18. i have never used one but it would tear up my shoulders real fast. It would not match my style of fishing anyway.
  19. thumbs a 18 in bass on LOZ is often thin they run aboit 31/4 to 31/2you could put 5- 18" fish on a stringer and not collect a check. It regularly takes 20 lbs to win. I do not do tournaments. You could count the number of tournaments I have been in on your hands and you would not be using much of the second hand. I did not even get into a tournament fishing till I was 55 yrs old. Tournaments are not the way I grew up fishing. I never thought of it as acompetarive sport. I never will. I only won two and won big bass in the other. I enjoy my lunker hunting. I usualy only catch between 8-10 a year that size. Last year I only got 6 and 2 of those were a surprise and came very fast. I caught them within 2o minutes about 100 yards apart. That will not happen very often for sure. The area was effected by a specific condition due to heavy rain and its does produce a lot of bass when its that way.
  20. that should be used for bait a big blue catfish would inhale that thing
  21. i use it but a little bigger in size on the channel banks in the spring and again in the fall on Kentucky bass that I want to put in the freezer. But I have enjoyed the fishing for bass is for bass 21" or longer. It is what I enjoy doing. I do not do tournament. i do not even support the concept. iWhat i do is more like hunting than fishing. Its not a type of fishing for everyone. You only have short periods and its not something you can depend on. in this lake from friday thru monday. in the summer time it would be downright dangerous.
  22. I never said he was I did not mean to imply he was. The press gave him that name. They were doing that kind of thing when creme was still making the red rubber worms
  23. I fish almost solely for bass over 21" that what I like to do. it os. not a everyday thing but I catch a lot of other bass along with it from small to large but the hunt for the Lunkers is what I like to do . I do not keep any of themI have good years of it and bad and bad. I do no tournaments I could not really compete in tournament hours if I wanted to. I fond out when they are on a active feed then then waylay them. active feed is not usually during a the hours they have tournaments. and youdo not have to worry about catching 5 18 inches on the ned rig around here.
  24. I do not know him or what they do i was told he is a hustler. If your paying for reportsif they are even a day late they might not be helpful. but i guess if your up someplace away from here it is better than flying blind. i think it is over priced. I think there is a store someplace. you know where it is wrench. ??
  25. The rog is bot a miracle a miracle bait by any means. It has its place and it is a small fish lure do bot expect to catch many lunkers on it. it is at its best in the spring on channel banks but I would not bet on it catching anymore than a jig or crank bait. that has been my experience with it that started many many years before you was even born.
