I did one over 20 right. But I am estimating. I caught 4 one mornijng that were all right at 21-22 inches. Right on that that flat point at the mouth of Mill Creek down from where you used to live Wrench. I was flabbergasted it was like I hit a school of big bass or something. The whole thing only took about 1/2 hour.. I caughtp them all on a old Hula Grub. That was the best and wildest morning of my fishing carreer. Back in the day that place from the point all the way to your old house used to be a big bass hang out I am sure you remember that Wrench. Now days you put your life on the line fishing oit there.

The ned rig in those pictures is deal lrger than what I have been led to believe a ned rig is. That is like putting a chunk of plastic worm on a jig. Heck of a lot different than finnesse. those things in the pictures look to be about 4" long. I have done something simler using a sinko rigged that way.

I retrieved a old type wiggle wart from hung up in back of my dock the other day. Never seen one like that before and will take it yobtovmu friends shop and see if its rare ar not. .Whoever putvit back there certainly did bot give a hoot forcits value. he threw it over three cables to get it close to the walkway, where it cought on a limb. Silly thing to throw a crank over 3 cables and expect to get it back all the time.

I have a couple ft or more of visability in the shade of my dock. It seems to be getting clearer. That is about as much as I want to see.

I bet that will return late next week if we get the predicted weather. All my fishing has been deeper with them coming up in the afternoon about 2 pm. inside tge stalls. those gulls made me a bit excited. Have cuaght a lot of large crappie tipped pff of there holding areas by gulls.

I have not been ut on the lake yet myself. The shoulder is being hard to rehab. I think it will be a just dandy season if I can gage buy what I am doing on locale docks. My own dock was just chicked full of juveniles for awhile until the cold weather came back. the other day. Thay are still there but deeper and reluctntvto hit a jig. In a group of 20 I was only getting 1 or 2 keepers Those being males jiust being legal size. I seen Gulls circeling and diving over the channel off my dock this afternoon. I would about bet the large crappoe are layong out there on the channel and coming up n th afternoon to feed on the shad. Often means its a good time to catch them on a jig under a cork out over deep just a few feet deep. At any rate it means thing are about to happen wth just a few warm days.

YEAH WRENCH iI do not have to imagine. One year several teas ago I caight 13 or 14 bass over 5 with some of them topping 6. We are deffently running on a high cycle. early last fallin a couple hours in the evening i ws catching 3-5 keeers a day and 17 inches was to be expected. just keepers were a bit disapointing.

Norm iif you want to move. STUDY and I mean dilegently the area you want to live. That includes the locale governent, available medical, fire protection ,law enforcement, etc. I live on LOZ but I flat refuse to go to Lake of the Ozarks Regional hospital. I will just say I do not trust the place except for the Canxer Treatment Center. That center is run by people from MIZZOU. All my DRs are either in Jeff city or Columbia. Just to many things have heppened.

I am a bog tome user of tiny shad for crappie on both jigs and road runners. and some of them or even trimmed. those tiny shad are fetting harder to find all the time. when your fishing certical or close to it they tend to drop straight and not twist tour line

I am sure they do that. I see them all the time around here. Very expensive equipment in very expensive boats. Living on LOZ I see lots of them. They tend to be sort of smug and not much for exchanging the day you know. Handleing their very expensive rods just like they seen one of their heros on TV do. Some of the dandy's done up so fine you have to wonder if they are not models right out of the pages of PBS catalog as they intently go zipping past the dock and up the shore line. Makes me wonder sometimes if they are not chasing fish rather than trying to catch them. I am heading to Springfield tomorrow. And because of the insistance of my kids of giving a PBS gift card every Christmas I will be stopping by PBS or should I say pbs since it better describes my opion of the place. I like set there in one of those easy chairs and rest after a morning of running around stores. It is FREE( so far anyway) and about one of the only things in the place not over priced. I will be giving the gift card to my wife so she can by a new pair of gardening shoes. I will already have bought my essentials like hooks and such down the road at Academy. The power company has been trimming up high in trees down my road last couple days. Several of those cut offs were those garly twisted ranches of black oaks. I just love thosecthibgs to brush with. i think all of these had cut off ends of 2-3 inches wide. Injust do not have the mustle yetvto handle them. they go down without weght ad that large will lstay on place as well as anything. when you get to be my age you will find power baot exciting

I have always wanted to see a good conversation on here about this Time ,Place and Way. So I am throwing it out there now. I have always looked at it as a triangle of fishing. Myself I have always felt the order is Right Time Right place Right way. Roght time because you can be in the right place doing the roght thing but if the fish got lock jaw forget it Right place I often argue with myself about these first two. But I jist got to lean more placing this second on my list. Rght way To me that is two thing right depth and right retrieve. What the lure is and all the mllions of colors they come in just pales in comparoeon to the first two.
