I am a cheater sometimes if I want my spooning fishing to be almost certain. I will put a 2-3 inch fresh shad on a spoon and jig it or just let it drop through the water. Work wonders. It will also get you surprises from other species as well. Beats the boredom.

VERNON You can skip very well on the golden years. I was still skipping in October bum shoulder and all. You just got to amend your ways. Wacky worms and tubes with inserted jig heads are as easy to skip as eating apple pie on spinning outfits loaded with a quality braid. To be truthful I am not convinced you cannot find good bass fishing all season long doing that. It is just one more thing that can be used at the right time and place like anything else. If I can get out next year I am going to carry that set up in the boat with me all year along with whatever else I have.

If you go back in history and read how nations and democracies are lost I think you will see how bad of shape we are in. Really with some of the appointments and statement were getting from the president-elect I have to wonder what direction we are going. looks a bit like Germany in the early 30s.
