I have lobbied at hearing in both the Missouri senate and house with Missouri Association of the Deaf. Filling up a room with people at a hearing may or may not have a impact. If you have people shouting out and attacking because of their passion for their side of things it only serves to strengthen the opponents. If any of you are lawyers and would serve as spokesman that would be much better. Also getting the media involved is a very strong thing.

If your going to troll with it I would recommend ugly sticks. I used them. From the first yr they were made to year before last when they became to to heavy for me to use and never ever in that time broke one. I have never owned a expensive rod. I use Berkley Cherrywood rods now. Fine for casting but I would not recommend them for trolling. I think sometime in the area of rods and reels you do not always get what you pay for. That is especially true of reels. I have a friend who repairs them I see a awful lot of expensive failures.

That long empty bank in the back of the cove was the first one I hit. That is where I got the dink. And the 1st point on the other side is where I got the first keeper. I will say though I did not hammer it by any means. I did not do it diagonally either. I see your point in that but I was not alone. The shad schools were few and far between when I was back there. I spent about a hour with the red eyed shad this enening and got one dink in the back of soap creek. The shad were about non existent back there for some reason. Maybe it was just me. This has been a year I just about would like to forget.

MJK..... That sounds like a personal preference. That is ok but it is not crucial. I get hung up on brown green and green/brown or gray heavy jigs in the fall but iris only because.i m confident in them on this lake. J DOC .....I got a quirk about hot pink. It just seems to work now and then like recently I been flipping giant trick worms on a heavy drop shot rig. Yes I said flipping with some success. Only reason I was is because I could not get the brown or green stuff to work. its like a third choice. Even when it happens like that I m reluctant to believe it's the color more so than I have just moved into the proper holding area. I am goiing to read the Tightline site stuff but probably will not know what ll the technical stuff means.

It has been proven that fish can see ultra violet and infared. This is one of the big reasons I am not a great follower of all the different shade etc of lures. I would love to see one of scientists guys do a study of what colors appear as under ultra violet or inferred. I have a notion all green for example that all green lures will not appear as green. Even colors of the same shade may not to be the same because of the chemical content of the paint or whatever is in the plastic. I do not know this and is why I am wondering. That said over the past 65 yrs I have just seen far to many times when presentation of the lure, size,speed and plain getting the thing into the proper zone with the fish have been the controlling things. I do not believe you can fool a fish no matter how well it is painted or decorated. Some of the new plastic worms are so pretty they would be nice hung on a Christmas tree as ornaments.

Jig fishing is not all that simple there is really no such thing as a traditional way. It takes time on the water. There are so many variation it will make your he'd swim. But master it and you will have found the the best all around fishing lure of all time. That does not mean it's the best in every situation. But it will catch fish more consistently than anything else.

We have had a family of turkeys running around here most of the summer. ten chicks and the parents. wife had see. Them several times feeding with the deer up the road. Last time I seen them about a week ago the chicks were about the size of chickens. They were not shy either. None of the stuff we have around here is shy

I would imagine basically that your girlfriend got in a lot more cast than you did. She also ( maybe without realizing it) was tuning into the fish. You should have put something similar on and fished it. Only thing you did messing with everything in the box was blow your concentration.

I am going to try to get somewhere when I am up in St. Louis Saturday. With french fry I had always wished it would have been closer to 5 inches long rather than 4. I think I will feel the same about the centipede.

I do not know Wrench its been so awful many years since I did any drinking period. But here is a example. Go in one of the bars around here and drink not more than 2 glasses of beer then leave. Now if Piercy is out there stalking the place you just left he just might pull you over for some ALLEGED problem. He will give you a breath test. Because he smells alcohol on your breath. He probably can't but after all you just came out of the bar he was stalking. Since there has been such a short time between 2 glasses of beer and his stopping you. You will test .08 at least. That is what he does. that is how he got his reputation in a couple counties around here.

i use them anytime I am hunting big catfish.

I had to look up a picture of them to see what they were. I remember using something like that years ago we called them French Fry. I did not even know they still sold them. I am not a shopper. I go in zoned in. I can be in and out of Pro Bass in Springfield in about 15 minutes. I will look next time I go they look like something might be a good alternat to sinko to me form the pictures.

Hell I been doing that for years.

Mississippi catfish love them. Used to catch them on tiny jigs in back of damns like Winfield and Clarksville.
