  1. Guns do not kill peole but the National Attitude is going to kill a awful lot of people and that blood bath is coming on faster all the time.
  2. My daughter and her husband were both carier people and and got married latter in life. They are do it yourself people. Well mostly my daughter anyway. She comes from a long line of people in the building trades and do it tourselfers. They are pretty fugal.
  3. I got a notion it has something to do with being there at the right time. And that time might be short. I got 5 shorts last evening walking some docks here. All were less than 10 ft right there in Wrenches favorite fishing range. But I caught them all in a short period between the time the sun was starting to disappear behind the hills and pink up time. Everything went dead at pink up. They were aggresive about me shaking the day lights out of a big plastic worm.
  4. We got some of those on the Gravois Arm because we fog up pretty fast. I think these fool read there GPS and forget about maybe someone being out there. we have had a couple good single boat accidents in the fog.Noboby hurt but running your boat through a dock is not good for it.
  5. AL I personally do not give a good rats a-- what anybody carries. I see a lot of reason to be doing so. My thing is all about emotions. That is where things get out of hand. It is easy to make what appears to be a just decision because of emotions. Then winds up having to pay for it the rest of their lives. It happens. That is the reason I would not trust anyone carring a gun. And yes I sometimes carry a small pump shotgun loaded with slugs when I go to the St. Louis area . It has gotten so you can be shot at driving along.in just about any place in that area.
  6. You better carry a gun if you sell insurance and keep money there. I been reading about that shooting the past few days up there. Part of the reason I would not trust you are a yone I do not know personnaly carring a gun.
  7. some are because they do bot have the maturity to handle a gun in that situation. I doubt you have the maturity to really deal with such a situation since you think it is funny.
  8. We Lost a member of the Elks this year Wrench. He dropped his pistol getting out of the truck and it discharged and killed him. Is that one your counting in there.
  9. One of the things many instructors will tell you is if you need to use that gun be sure you kill the person. What would bother me is he did bot do that. He did get his name in the paper. Now all h has to worry about is reprisal.
  10. Well when I was a young buck. I was sitting at a bar in a wild Honky Tonk. His guy ask this fellas sister to dance. The brother said no is what the report said. Well he was leaving the table and the brother jumped up and walked up to him and blew his head apart about 10 ft from my back. About 1/2 of us sitting there at the bar had bone, skin and brain fragments all over us. Not a nice thing to experience. Yet I think secretly some of tou would like to have aexcuse to do something like that.
  11. Times 3 at. least. I think a lot of the comments made on here come from people with no military experience. I said aclot not all by any means.
  12. That plug looks like some of mine. i make mine out of cedar and do bot paint them either. None are all spin type with 2 " blades on them. My daughter recently gave me some sasafass. Never ised that before but I will be blocking it out in the shop as soon as we get some cooler weather. Then with probalbly turn it on a lathe .
  13. I would be the manufacture is somewhere ib china
  14. Well hust read carefullu what ketchup posted earlier. You want to pull a trigger outside those bounds good luck to ya. Good luck to ya anyway.
  15. We had a lot of them into the Bradford Pares along the road by our Elks Lodge last year. When they bore there hole for eggs it allows some kind of bateria to get i. there that can kill a tree but twkes a few years. I seen signs of it in all those along the road late last summer. I was told by a plant doctor that there was no known cure for that. Sometimes it clears itself up.
  16. Thank you Wrench

    What's Cooking?

My friend loves to BBQ He paid well over $1000 for his Big green egg. He can heat it up with charcoal then add a few chunks of wood. Then he puts a good sized pork butt in there. shut it up it up and lets it go for a about 15hrs sometimes. You can almost shread that stuff with you bare hands. I wood love to have one of those or a pellet BBQ. Wife say no way. We have a Jenn Aire that I BBQ on. I put wood chips right on top of the plate to smoke.I think that BBQ unit is going to out live me.

    What's Cooking?

I was wondering if any of you chefs had a big green egg or pellet BBQ
  19. These were very similar to Luck E Strike but bulkier. I bought them from a place carried these and Lucky E Strike. I remember talking to the owner of the shop about who made them. She told me it was a company somewhere that did a variety of plastic molding and this was just one of many things they made. As I recall they sold them bulk and not packaged. Gezzzzzz wrench do you remember any of this??? Or is it more of my mind slipping out of Gear. I bought these in the old pro bass on hwy5 and O road. I think I am going to try those moguy found.
  20. Yeah that is true he would have the time to explain it. Maybe one of these Lawyers on here can explain to tou all just involved it could become. How much do you think it is going to cost him to defend himself. ?????? I bet more than the hospital would cost.
  21. You missed part of my point. If you shoot someone there is all kinds of legal hurdles in front of you. Things as small as what was siad alr done in the in the confortation can be the difference between free and in prison. Then if you get off for the shooting you may well be sued by someone in the family or the person you shot. In eithef case your also going to need a very good lawyer plus a real good job to pay for him.
  22. The thing about it is if you pull the trigger. Then it gets very complicated. You got about a 50/ 50 chance of coming out on the short end of the stick. Unless it is clearly home invasion. That is if your fast enough. And the other person does not kill you and part of your family first. I can see a lot of ways that might happen. Especially if you do not know he has a gun.
  23. That is exactly what I am looking for. I will buy a couple packs when I make my annual splurge to Taxkle warehouse. This is the very first time I have seen them antwhere. If the tail is a bit shorter It would not matter that much anyway. I like those boucy rings
  24. Yeah it had a slow drop wrench. It is the worm that really opened my eyes to that. Have never used a 1/2 oz weight on that worm or any orher, and I do not even own one. Only fault I ever found with it was the smallness of that head. I would like to see that head made about 11/4 inches long. I think I am going to try it on a drop shot rig next week. Have hot been using them for awhile.
  25. I think I am going to talk to Ed tomorrow I know the Hivdons been trying to get started in the fishing lure bussiness. let him take it up with Guido or Dion. If not we still got James Dill here in town with his Crock-O-Gator company
