I like the whites but these Hybids and stripers on LOZ have reslly been something these past couple years. I and my neigbor have gotten a 7lb hybrid and a couple of stripers about 18" long so far thos year.

I will be down the lake I am about sure Sunday evening. I fish the area above Tonys point and below Coffmans Beach. The hybrid fishing down there today stunk. I never got a bite and did not see anyone else who did. Had my ignition battery fail and had to come back up to my home on Cedar point in Mill Creek after dark without any lights . kind of like a early halloween uncomfortable scary feeling. I know they been killing the crappie. Both a friend across the lake and my neighbor across the road have been at it for sometime. I like to catch crappie in the morning and have them for lunch now and then. I am spoiled to that kind of fresh eating. So I do not fish for tgem very often except for fun.

To me there is no sence to worry it is like death it is going to each of us in time. So try to enjoy it and have a nice time while your here.

There are faults ( cracks all over the planet) The New Madirid Fault is is what sparked my interest in Earthquake long ago I spent a lot of time down in that region in my younger years I have experienced a few. They were more like a slight vibration. They were tiny. The New Madrid fault quake was one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded. There are many published reports about it. God help everyone in the in St louis and south area when it jams up and does it again. From what I read the earth rock formations in tha area are hard granite. And becaise of thst they will transmit the quake with a lot more force..They have predicted it would destroy most masonay type buildings is stlouis. And it will happen sometime but only God knows when. We should all be thankful for all the little quakes down there. It means the fault is moving smoothly. The.New Madrid fault runs from Noth East Ark All the way into IL east of st louis. But for my money I would bet a lot more on seeing something terrible happen to California. Those massive quakes in Mexico and south America are on the same fault line as Calfonia and is going in that direction. Though they deny it. This business of fracking irritates those fault lines.

Did not know you were going to Italy. I been in Naples a whole gang of times. Knew a few girls there as well. Funny thing they were all naned Maria. Isnt that strange.

Whats your boat look like Champ. I might have seen you. I am easy to identify. Big old Targa with the word deaf in 3" letters on both sdes of the boat. Been down the lake sunday evening thru Friday evning for a couple weeks now. I am usially not with the rest of the boats though. I do not spend much time chasing the risers. Got 6 Hybrids last evening 15 and 16 inches long. Funny you could throw a spoon into a bunch splashing around and and they would not bite. But let them be under the suface and they would slam it hard. We got a 7lb hybrid so far this season down there. On evening last week I got 3 stripers about 18" long. I go down -about 5 and leave at dark.

Yeah Wrench I know thats what you want.I certainly hopecit happens for you. My aim is to tet a monster.. That is the place I caught the 50lb blue. Cannot harly get a smell of a catfish down there anymore much less the big guys that used to come in there under the whites.

I use 20 lb pro braid for a few things on spinnng outfits. I have found that 20lb braid when bottom jigging can get twisted even with a swivel. . It also happenen sometimes with wacky and tick worms. It can also be cause a lot of problems in both those applications by getting fowled on the rod in a windy situation. I will continue to use it however for that kind of fishing.

I do not regard Bass as MINNOW EATING. White bass,crappie those are really minnow eating to me. I regard Black bass as a predotor that will take whats handy and can be stuffed into their mouth.

Wrench I have noticed that. It was fast almost like winter drawdown. Looks like they stopped today. It does not matter with these fish down here. I will be at them tomorrow evening 5 till dark

I would appear to me if that water wS goingbdown in the new madrid fault I would first have to go through what read was two miles of river bed . then if the fault decided to open up I do think you sound have a absolutly dry river bed. q

I am just kind of happy I will not be around to see the results of all this fish catching mana of recent years. Then again the economy sxgoing to botom up all of a sudden and that is going to dontrol aclot of this distruction.

I have two apps that rack earthquakes. They interest me. I seen a mention in there that they are concerned about the New Madrd fault. They are wondering if it is trying to awaken. I cannot see any earthquakes in Mexco having anything to d with Mssouri. From Mexico To California thru Alaska is the whole area os just alive with quakes. Something will happen eventually somewhere. As far as desaster, it will make all these hurricanes look tiny.

Is there any fracking going on in that area.

That happens down her to wrench. That is why I chase after them on the on the contour drop offs. The evening my neighbor caught the 7lb Hybrid people were trolling and casting up on the Flats. His fish and the other 15 we caught were 25 to 28 ft deep. There were schools of shad down there just above them. I think they got all they wanted without coming up. Then a couple day after that there were a lot of riser way out. The next evning the fisherman were sitting out there in the lake in 65-70 ft of water casting and trolling. We stayed on the contour where we were not far either way for action.That evening we got the bulk of the fish action was up on the flat in 15 ft of water on the surface. Like everyone else I call it wrong as well. But I keep my eyes on that fish locator and will not stay in a place that does not look promising.. I run the troller almost constantly.

At any rate he wants this to male duplications of some lures and sell them to you all as somethingvtgey are not. I still am puzzeled about all those boxed reels. I really suspect your a hustler trying to work a con on these people. Tell me just how did you get all those boxed new reels. Did they fall off a truck maybe. This forum would be a good place to fence stolen goods.

Wrench this guy os a hustler. He has been on here snce 2014 selling foshong reels. Myself I do not know how he came about getting all this stuff he has been trying to push off. Myself would ever buy anything from him. It just does not make sence he has all these reels etc and has to sell them on here. He could be fencng that stuff.

Now there you are SolnBassman. your talking to these guys and one of them is a lure manifacture. and tour telling him he does notvknow a thing. I cannot figure out if your some 10 tr old or some fool that thinks like a 2 yr old. 1. You show me very little knowledge of whatvcould happen if you duplcated a lure. 2. Have you ever heard of laws. There are any number pf them that could land you in a real legal mess. 3 making something that looks the same sire does no mean it will work the same. That is a real thing indeed thosectype have been around for probable at least 100 yrs. The thing is you better sure your leagally on solid ground.

Residential damage has nothing to do with about all of these places . On rhis lake LOZ it s nothing more than roch peole wanting to show off. Abd have there fun in spite of the damage they do to others. They control the politicans in ths legislature in this state. And we all know legislatires are one of what the bible tells us are the least among men.

I have some friends here at the lake. They are in the entertainment bussiness and are very busy. In spite of that they include their parents in everything they do out here. They are some very fine people. they have shown me the american family should be like. Of course there is making a living. I do not see my son but 2-3 time a year out here. His wife is president of her families small plumbing bussiness and he is a property manger and over sees the upkept and maintainance of office buildings and other commerial type buildings. So with two young kids they are pretty pressed for time.

My daighter is into fomenting veggies from her garden. The whole process from the msking to eating I try to avoid. Any f you do that.

You know you need to get one type of lure and learn it backwards and forwards how it reacts to different line and weights and the fishes resonse to it . I would suggest either a plastic worm ot a jig since many of the fundementals are the same for both. h they sink and how fast is part of your preentation. then therevis how different weights move throught the brush or over the rocks and ledges. You do not have to worry really about some exravegant color paterns either. generally something that matches nature like brown or brown green mix will be fine. no idea what you mean about "places most fisherman would never throw". I have never seen such places. Sounds to me like your trying to apply what you see and hear or read. Thats good I guess bit it does not realiy work that well. Experience cannot be beat.
