Ham It has been years. but I remember those times very well. Also remember those time that it came out before line broke. Hardly time to get out of the way.

I use 10 lb braid on my crappie outfits. It handles really tiny jigs and lures well and gives me enough mustle to get most sngged jigs back. Putting leader with braid just creates a weak spot.

lown the gravois it is not any better my friend. I think we will see a short hot streak about the time we hit 60 degrees. I can catch 4-5 small crappie real fast about anytime i go down to the dock. mostly on 1/32 oz jigs rabbit fur or pure tinsel jigs tipped with crappe candy. I been fishing them straight down.

We used to have a big one would eat a minnow from your hand down a Piedmont Park boat dock down on Clearwater. I think a guy named Frankie Mc calister taught hij to do that.

I think that right. Its leakage. Electricity is a amazing with almost a life of its own.. It is funny some ocean and great lake guides spike their down trolling wire with a small electical charge and swear by it for attacting fish. I know that the very fact that the wores are dragging through the water will generate a bit of electric. Everytime I test my dock for any power leakage there will be a couple volts there even wth the power shut off to the dock. Water metal and movement it seems is all it takes.

Champ I found that thing flipping a jg. Flipping I still do I do not have to use of my arm above my waist. Above that and combined with forward motion like casting will be the end of my fishing for the day in about 5-10 cast. Also being to deep jigging my spoons. But drop shotting is what I been doing for the past two years from post spawn till sometime in early fall. I have mostly been a flipper and pitcher all along. I can flip and pitch a drop shot but it takes a bit of practice. On jan 13 I will be getting a new shoulder. I hope to be doing some casting by the middle of march.

l picked what I thought was a wiggle wart out of a brush pile earlier this year. After I got it home and all the slim cleaned off. I could read the name on the bill. It was Cotton Cordell's Wiggle O. Never seen one before. Put new hooks on it and tried it of the docks around here comparng its action to a white Wiggle Wart. I do not think trying to look at it from a fishes pre spective that there is enough action diferance to matter to a fish.

Iwas just talking to someone today about using shad when fishing for big Hybrids. I ise rhem in combination with a spoon Really I believe it is the effective way to catch them because they tend to stay so deep.

I follow the tremors going on out in Oklahoma. That was a big one I think it was Sunday evening. They say there is going to be one a lot biggervif they do not stop the practice of pumping water into the gound 3 miles down where it will heat up a lot and expand. It just amazes me how they pay no attention to such fundamental physics. Maybe the coyotes are trying to teach us something.

I agree Mitch. But i believe the biggest loosers are us. But still out leadership is a mess. I know this last year of one senator that went bananas because the other party filibustered a bill that his party had made amendements to. The bill covered a totally different issue. His party removed the attachnents from the bill and then when it came to a vote again he voted against the bill that he blamed the other party for trying to destroy. They make me sick with there garbage. I worked for over 40 yrs in that place that burnt on Page in St Louis. i got to see a lot of legislation and if there is one thing we need it is to clean up the legislation process. I do not believe in amendment that do not apply to the subject of the Bill. I also am agaist earmarks. To me though the greatest offender of all is those Omnibus reconcilation acts. I have seen several some were as thick aa a phone book. They are filled with pork and backroom trade offs. Those legislators will fight to table sonethng then vote for it in the act becuse they got something in there they want passed.

I do not think I will be voting for anyone for president. I do not want to have a guilt complex about what is about to happen. You all should be very concerned about the crazness that will take place no matter who gets the job. I am ashamed of what our political system and media has become. People are not thinking just watching the media and being told what to think. Our behavior makes me think of a bunch of lemming running to get over the cliff. I do not know if lemming take their young with them but we will.

nk the temperature was 66 or 67 on the surface in that spot. I also want the temerature down more, low 60's or upper 50's is a favorite time for me and jigs. I rarely go more than 3 miles from the house anymore. I always catch my larger hibrids down deeper. in the 30 ft range. Have never seen them surface. I also am constantly think in the back of my mind about catching a big blie sneaking around down in those places. It has happened several times. I catch them mostly under feeding white bass. largest was 48lbs. There might be some white bass action up by Wrench way up out of gravois mills mills I am down on Cedar Point better than 3 miles from that area. Things can be totally different. More shallow ,good brush up there and deeper, less brush down here.

It was a proven hoax. If ot was anything it would have been a Bull Shark. They can travel many many miles into fresh water.

I went out last evening for a couple hours and found hybrids and god only knows what else packed on all sides of a small hump in the Gravois. Trouble was they were holding very deep. l lke to jig for deep fish. last evening though all I caught was one hybrid about 15-16 inches long. They just did not want to co operate. Par far the course last few times I been out there. They might be rising at night curently. I do not know other than that they are known to do it. No way I was going to set out there on that spot in the middle of the night since it is dead center in the boat lanes. It gets hairy enough in broad daylight. I was jigging between 55&65 ft. Very deep for me since Most of my jigging is from just above 30 to 40. But it was worth a try. Kinda thought I might run into some rising. I figure though that hybrid I caught was down there very close to 50 ft. I have always thought when they hold that deep your just beating your head against a wall. I should have known better. t b

Wonder about that Gar there or a few Aligator gar in southern Missouri Maybe you got one of those over there. If its less than 4 ft in is a native gar. A real underrated sports fish.

I can tell you for certain Bull Sharks will come into fresh water. I havevno idea how far. There is ample truthful documentation of that on the internet I can also remember the I cam remember that guy that had thevfishing show going all over the world to catch big fish catching a Bull Shark in the Mississippi river. I think it is a lot of B S there are damns down stream from thay area.

I have not felt much like fishingvhere lately. i wentvup into Mill Creek this evening about 5 or a little after. got two obig whites and two short crappie. sort of dragging a fllicker shad around. there srecseemed to be a lot of nice fish down in a 10 to 25 ft of water. I was theconlyvboat up there. yesterday evening itgey sleyed them up there. I jist cannot figure the right time amd right place this fall it would seem. I spent most f my time jigging a spoon right off the bottom in there faces. That usially works for me when onthing else will.

from your pictures wrench I would say you were in Indian Creek. I have not really been out in close to 2 weeks. I had a oil slick out in the cove yeasterday afternoon about 2 acres in size. Bet it was dumped. I have a heighbor I caught draining oit out of his inboard into the lake several years back. Bet there are some of the elite cool people set that do that.
