  1. weather looks great for the weekend, I hope you find some fish willing to play good luck !
  2. i like these but use glass rattles that are painted diff. colors black, red, orange, white like bo said, let the fish decide what's best at the time
  3. hopefully they stop dying soon, I hate to see fish kills anywhere especially close to home
  4. opaque chartreuse pearl as the base coat, used the same iridescent colors w/ pearl green, copper, trans purple ,yellow and red, opaque black the clear has gold, hologram green and black flake
  5. transparent yellow base, trans brown, trans sand ,pearl green ,iridescent green, iridescent yellow/chartreuse, pearl copper, iridescent red, trans black
  6. fished a few hours this afternoon up around Theodosia nothing going out deep for me found some big gills on beds ,shallow in this grassy stuff , got to try my new perch jerker combo picked up a shaky head worm, caught some short spots and browns and 1 keeper lmb around docks didn't keep anything WT 83
  7. here's one shade... sun..
  8. very cool! i painted some spooks lately, experimenting with transparency and iridescent paints
  9. one reason why I like jig rods with moderate fast actions rated for 1/4 to 1 1/4 oz baits, then I just carry a couple extra reels with diff. line types and sizes for dragging, or flipping/pitching, I've got it covered w/o having a deck full of rods getting in the way. Just switch, and use the reels as needed. I only own 2 jig rods now.
  10. I look at the weight of the jig, hook type/size, the rod, the reel's line capacity and when I drag, I drag heavily, 3/4 to 1 1/2oz jigs. 7'11 jig rods with wide spool high capacity reels , 17-25 ABRAZX get the nod
  11. September and August are difficult months w/o high water thanks for the reply B-B
  12. I've been there. had many lines and jugs taken over the years on lakes and rivers now I sit and watch my lines after baiting up, and people still come over and touch them while I'm there. . If I have to leave them in all night I'll take the hooks off so all they get is string and a plastic bottle I set out 15 jug lines one evening on Bull, then watched a small pontoon drive by and pick each jug up and move them further apart so 2 jet skis could zip in and out of them like a ski course, lol words were exchanged between myself and them, it ended well , they actually learned a few new things about jugging for catfish, hahah
  13. maybe you should have stayed put my man did you try other baits or presentations on the point before you moved to the dam area? assuming what you may or may not catch is not how it works many, many ,many times I've had to weed through the little bites to get to the big bites on the same spot that may or may not have worked for you, idk pretty good day otherwise on an unfamiliar lake
  14. talked to a guy today who went yesterday and caught some fish(walleye/bass) on main lake points suspended around the old shoreline 30ish. he was throwing finesse plastics and trolling
  15. did you see any topwater action? fish chasing bait how far up Spring creek did you go?
  16. sweet, I generally fish the Spring Creek and Theodosia arms. If I get to go, I'll let ya know how it went
  17. thanks for posting alnt, really appreciate it bass fishing in August and September is not easy with high or low water. it's been a good summer for bluegill and catfish

  20. 16 keepers is a good night! but you are also putting additional stress on those 9 bass by putting them in the box when it's this hot and then removing them from their current habitat(home) (why I don't like summer bass t's) anyway ,i doubt they will stick around long where you released them, they will move elsewhere eventually
  21. 687.79 well, slowly going down
  22. thanks for reporting
  23. I saw that, but wasn't sure, ty
  24. how do I delete messages in my inbox w/o emptying them all? anyone?
  25. he did mention algae in the article is there a toxicology report did they take any of these dead fish to be examined? I'd like to read those results Table rock , as well as other waters in the area, have been on the epa's impaired list of waters. Our waterways are affected by wastewater from cities and failing septic tanks, as well as pollutants found in stormwater runoff from commercial, residential, industrial, and agricultural land uses in our community. Our waterways are also negatively affected by increases in runoff rate and volume resulting in stream bank erosion, as well as other changes such as removal of trees/vegetation along our streams. In addition, water pollution can come from buried sources such as leaking underground storage tanks and contaminated soils, as well as pollutants deposited from the air
