  1. My father in law said he used to catch them out of Williams in the 70s and 80s. Big trout.
  2. We always had good luck just up from the boat ramp at the mouth of the spring with four pound line small shot and nightcrawlers drifted slowly on bottom. Up below those cabins behind the outhouse
  3. Stupid trout lol
  4. Welcome back sir. Good report
  5. Looks like a snake head. Did it have the big dot by the rear fin like a bowfin from up north?
  6. Fat white! Bet they are up the creek by end of next week.
  7. I tried little sac but all the rains made it chocolate milk. When it comes back to normal I will be hitting a few trips with the fly rod.
  8. I think all lot of people are over come with white bass fever! Dogwood trees aren't blooming yet. There are pear trees that aren't native that get spread all over MO. They are commonly confused with Dogwood until you get up close. They usually don't bloom until mid April. The whites are probably not going to get crazy good until then. Especially with the cool down this weekend.
  9. I think when the river comes down you can wade down from 215. I've done it before! Long walk though
  10. Six inches of rain in two hours may have helped it get over the dams lol! Probably a transplant from somewhere else or they are reproducing in very small numbers. High rain years always yield weird fish. Crappie are back up by bennet springs mouth again. I haven't seen that since I was a kid. Nice story and good report.
  11. It was bad muddy. I only saw one white caught in six hours. Debris everywhere and age was moving fast. It dis drop over a foot in those six hours. I think if we don't get too much rain it'll be fine by next week. I'll post a picture if I can. Muddy
  12. Yikes Ollie. That's sounds like an interesting day at Capps. Rattle snakes I can deal with but not tweakers! Noce pics
  13. I hope the rain pushes the big girls upstream. Glad you caught some though. I'm trying every hole tomorrow.
  14. You are right on the money slab.
  15. Thanks for reporting. I hope I get onto them.
  16. I just park at Taylor. I have two good spots that are hard to get to.
  17. I'll.be posting my findings Monday afternoon. Hopefully I luck into some fish
  18. They released it at the dock at Lilly's
  19. I have a Shakespeare conquest that I have had for years and a daiwa reel I got at a yard sale. Budget just means you have to look harder to find good stuff. Lol
  20. I'd say with a little more rain and warmth they are gonna be moving like crazy. This is early still but I bet next week they'll be thick around Taylor and power line holes. I'll.be up Monday all day trying to find them. Hope it's up a bit. Last year managed a few nice smallies on the fly so I hope for at least a fish or two
  21. Stop by plateau fly shop!on camp bell in Springfield . These guys know their stuff on carp fly fishing (and everything else for that matter)).
  22. Were they holding on the bottom?
  23. Looks typed correctly to me. Nice work on the wally !
