UConn looks like the odds on winner. I put 10 bucks on them to win it all at 17 to 1 so go UConn! Most of us up here in KC would have enjoyed a KST v Creighton matchup. Heartbreaking losses for both teams. Personnally i like the fact that there were no greenbloods, errrrrr bluebloods, in the Sweet 16. 3 teams in the Final Four have never been before. No McDonalds All Americans in the Final Four! I like the parity. Gives me hope that maybe my Tigers actually have a chance.

Ark has some long athletic dudes!! Their problem seems to be fouls and not closing out games late. A lot of money is coming in on UConn. An MU reporter claims that Kobe Brown is coming back for a 5 th season!! He will certainly check out his draft status but this guy claims he believes Brown is coming back! Hey, Desi Sills of KSt is older than Mav's Luka Doncic!! Crazy!!

Thats a tough draw for you boys Hogs. UConn is playing well and has a legit chance to win it all. But once you get to Sweet 16 you are usually gonna get a tough team. SEC has 3 teams left. That leads the country. Go Hogs!

Congrats to the Hogs for beating the Cheaters!! My Tigers played like all they needed to do was roll the ball out and they would win. Got outrebounded by Princeton 44-29. That is inexcusable. I love what Dennis Gates has done this year but I really hope he starts paying more attention to the defense and boxing people out. You play defense like the Tigers and rebound like the Tigers you are gonna get beat. They play like they just want to outscore people. Great season just losing to another 15 seed kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

Kobe Brown just willed MU to that win. He did everything while battling foul trouble in the first half. MU the 7 seed was a 2 pt dog and i think that motivated them also. Got to play the no respect card and thats huge. Ask the Chiefs v the Eagles. Illinois/Ark got a little ugly at times but Ark was just the better team. I'll be pulling for Ark to pull the upset saturday!

Thought i might take a little heat for my comment about the Ark basketball team. But hey, i picked them to upset Kansas in the second round!! They are long and athletic. Got 2 lottery picks supposedly. And they have made back to back runs to the Elite 8. As a Tiger fan let me say, Go Hogs!!!

You Ark boys are just like your basketball team! Soft!! Ok, just kidding. I totally understand. But want to report the 13th Legacy Class bass was caught there yesterday. 13.34 lbs. Thats in this calendar year! A 7 lb bass is a great fish anytime anywhere. And you are right Champ. We are lucky to have those bass close to home. I had a few "bucket list" items i wanted to check off. Go to Wrigley. Check. Go to Fenway. Check. Harvest a 200 class buck. Still trying. Catch a 10 lb bass. Still trying. Taking a trip to lakes like OH Ivie or as you boys stated Toledo Bend gives me a chance. Not sure our lakes do anymore.

Now that you had to reschedule I may be back in!! Have to check my dates on when i leave for Candada.

The good news is I guess that keeps your recreation people away. Its all serious bass fisherman. I've only been there in early March but I've never seen a pleasure boat yet. A few pontoons but they were fishing out of them. Its not a family vacation destination for sure.

That RK brings back fond memories of my Ol fishing buddy Keith Blais. He won the OA tournament about 3 times. He was a RK throwing machine. I miss that guy!!!!

My Tigers got thumped pretty good by Bama earlier this year Quill. But Brown didnt play in that game. As a Tiger fan i kinda feel like we are playing with house money now. Lunardi has us as a 7 seed now. Good to get off that 8-9 line. If we can make 10 or more 3's I think we may be able to stay in the game.

Yes but you need to reserve a place about a year in advance. And most of the places are not too nice. We stayed in a little house with one room. Two beds in the room and one guy brought his air mattress. A tiny little kitchen. Last year we stayed in a place that was like a 5 mile drive down gravel road to get too. Dust everywhere. No restaurants. One bar b que place open on thurs, fri and sat only. Gotta bring your own food. Its in the boonies Curtisce!!

Just got back from OH Ivie. That lake has been unbelievable this calendar year with 9-10 Legacy Class LM bass caught. Over 13 lbs. This was my second trip down there. My step daughters boyfriend lives in Dallas so i drive down there and he takes it from there. I caught a 5 lber and he caught a 6 lber. That was our best fish. Fishing was tough. A major front came through right when we got there. The next three days were bluebird days. Bright sun and very little wind. I think the majority of these ShareLunker bass caught there are in deep trees and caught with FFS and A rigs. Not my cup of tea. I'm 71 yrs old with a bad shoulder so winging that A rig around is tough on me. The banks are flooded with buck brush so its a spinnerbait and flipping paradise. I think the weather drove them out of there. Water temps were 58-60. Its out in no mans land. Nothing around there. It wasnt real crowded thurs and friday. Got pretty crowded on the weekend. Catching a 10 lb bass is on my bucket list so i put myself in a great position to get that done. But didnt happen again.

Its been a few years now but our local fish wrap, the KC Star, used to put the tournament results in the paper once a week. I would always check Pomme. Several times 6 or 7 lbs would win a tournament. With big bass being a 2+. Like i said thats been a while back. I assumed thats why Pomme went to 13 inch minimum for LM. I could be wrong on that. And maybe with FFS and A rigs the results went much higher?? Bottom line is i am tickled to death to see Pomme producing like that!!!

wow!!! Thats unbelievable. Is Pomme becoming a great bass fishing lake now? That would be so nice. I have a place down there but i dont fish it that much. I go over to Truman and fish for crappies and like to go over to Stockton to chase walleyes and smallies. Thanks for reporting Ketchup. Not much on Pomme forum lately.

Great game Alex!! I was texting my MU buddies that MU gave #6 ranked Tenn a great game in their house. Just came up short. Then had to change my text mid sentence!! Dennis Gates should get votes for national coach of the year. I dont know what is up with Mosley. Out for personal reasons. A great talent but i dont think he is buying in. I figure his days as a Tiger are about over.

Question for you trout boys. After reading phils report on the masters tournament i went out and bought a few scuds at Bass pro. i will be fishing Tanneycomo this next week. These things are quite small. Showing my lack of knowledge on the trout here. Anyway i will be fishing an ultralight setup. 2 or 4 lb test line. When they are not running water my buddy and i like to jig fish under a strike indicator. Can i use that scud doing that? Do i need a small split shot up the line to get that little thing down around the bottom? All trout will be released. Thanks boys for any info.

i think you are right Dutch. i think they are doing ok in certain parts of the state. i still hunt them in the spring on my buddies land outside of Stockton. He still has quite a few birds around his place. But generally i think the numbers are in decline. We will see.

Bill i'm glad you have lots of birds around your area. I am deeply concerned about our turkey population. Field and Stream ran an article about the decline of turkeys in the midwest about a year ago. i really believe it. i just dont see as many turkeys as i used to. A belated happy birthday to you also. we appreciate the valuable info you have given us through the years on this forum.

I agree with Quill that the game was slowed to a crawl with fouls and reviews. It took 2 hrs and 30 min to play the game. It ended up being a pretty good game however. But i am a Tigers fan. It reminded me a lot of the KU v K St game. So many foul calls the game just never could develop a flow. MU struggles to score in a half court game. It has to rely on getting turnovers and getting pts off of them. And they simply cannot get a rebound. Your Razorbacks are so athletic!! Big win for my Tigers. You have to hold serve at home. Razorbacks fall to 1-5 in the SEC. Which you would think would be alarming but remember 2 yrs ago they started off bad, ran off 11 straight wins and advanced to the Elite 8. Last year they started off bad, won like 15 of their last 16 and advanced to the Elite 8. I may have those mixed up but the point is still there. With Alabama coming to CoMo sat this was a huge game for the Tigers!!
