  1. Started at 6 am and started in a flat gravel pocket and caught 3 on a buzzbait in the brush. With two being in the 3 pound range, the started flipping a a jig and picked up one more about 3. Then the traffic picked up on the lake, off the water by 9:30
  2. Started out on a bluff end at 5:45, 2nd cast was a 4 pounder on a spook, moved back into a pocket and started going farther down the bank caught another keeper on a spook and a non keeper on a Bagley balsa b2, moved to a flat pocket caught only one but a keeper out of the back of it on a spook. Went to a main lack gravel bank and caught two nonkeepers on the Bagley and a kinky beaver flipped in the bushes. Ran up in yocham and started flipping bushes and found a stretch that was full of 14 inch largemouth and caught 11 out of that stretch on the kinky beaver but no keepers, then we moved in the back of yocham and it was stupid how many largemouth between 14 and 15 inch we caught out of there flipping the kinky beaver and on the Bagley squarebill, and then moved up into long creek Aways and started on a flat gravel bank flipping bushes and caught 5 there and then it started to hget slower and went to two more banks in cricket creek and managed to flip up two more fish on the kinky beaver. Ended up with about 40 fish all largemouth and 5 keepers. Off the water by 11
  3. Long creek
  4. Me and my buddy decide to go see if we could keep the shallow bite goin and we did. Caught around 30 with 10 keeps, caught fish on a jig, square bill, spinnerbaits, horny toad, spook, and a pit boss. Fished from the bridge at yocham to 86 bridge, then later in the day I pulled 3 keepers in 3 straight drops on a spoon, 20ft down in. 50 ft of water, best 5 would have been about 14 or 15 pounds.
  5. Yes it has and there wasn't much debree
  6. To wear cricket and long creek come together past cricket
  7. Put in at 86 ran up by the dam and fish 3 of my best deep spots not a fish, so decided to put the spinning rod down and go run way up long creek and fish like men, ended up with around 20 fish, jig was the best and they wanted it swimming to, so I held my rod up and reeled fast and shook my rod and kinda buzzed it along about 6 inches under the water and they where crushing it, also caught fish on a horny toad, and a old bagley square bill. Best fish was around 3 1/2 pounds, had around 6 keeps. Off the water by 9.30.
  8. No we didn't call the cops we just kept on with are business and left, and my father and I are both into hunting and firearms. My father has several custom 1911 he had built at wilson combat that he carries. I normally have a firearm of some sort with me most of the time just not in that occurance.
  9. Reading some of the comments on some of the previous post below reminded me that I forgot to post this on here. Not trying to rant or spam the forum just thought some of you would find this interesting. Last Saturday I Went bowfishing with one of my buddy's in his bowfishing boat. We put in at clevenger since that's where we where going to be bowfishing. And we finally get put in and we bowfish around and didn't see much so we decided to call it a night since my buddy had work bright and early in the morning. We make it back to the ramp about 11:30pm. There is a lady sitting in here car blocking the loading ramp. So I hoped out and asked her nicely and said "mam will you please move your vehicle so i can back my truck down please". That's the way my father has always taught and raised me is to treat every body with respect and treat others like you want to be treated. So she said yes she would move the vehicle. So I walked up in my truck and set down and patiently waited. Didn't do anything just waited and about after 10 minutes she finally moved her vehicle so I backed my truck down and we load the boat. We get everything situated and ready to leave. But soon as we got in the truck my buddy remembered he left one of the generators running, so he gets out to turn it off and I'm setting in the drivers seat texting my father letting him know that I was on my way back I see a guy run up to my friend. So I quickly jump out and walk back there. The guy was screaming and cussing at us insisting we had called him(which I never had seen before that exact moment, who was apparently married to the owner of the vehicle) and his spouse a bunch of vulgar and hateful names, which never came out of either one of are mouths. We informed him that we where sorry about whatever we had done or said to offend him. Which apparently wasn't enough. He insisted on fighting us( we are both minors) we informed him of that and he was still dead set on fighting. So at this point we are behind the boat and a start screaming get in the truck, so I take off and the guy had a metal rod in his hand and had it held up in the air like he was going to swing on my friend lucky my friends Carp bludgeon( a small baseball bat used to hit carp over the head with) was in close reach so he grabbed that to defend himself and the guy kinda backed off once he saw he had it. So we both made a dash for the truck and hopped in and started to take off, the guy kicked my friend boat and put a dent in the back, as we where driving off he chased us and threw the metal rod luckily it didn't hit nothing. I don't know what his problem was or if he was on drugs, but something seemed a little sketchy about him and his wife. But I guess there's good and bad people everywhere you go. Thought some of you would find this experience pretty enteresting.
  10. Something that I think know one has mentioned is the zoom horny toad. That's a bait that I throw often in the hotter months of the year in crooked creek and the buffalo and skip it under trees into the shade and tear the fish up on it. Out performs a buzzbait for me when the water is low and clear. It's a lot more subtle presentation.
  11. Water temp was around 75 3-4 ft of visabilitly. Started of on a deep point with a drop shot boated about 10 with 3 keepers all spots, moved to another point holding the boat in about 35 ft of water caught only one fish which was a keeper 18 1/2 inch walleye, decided for the rest of the evening we where going to stick it out shallow and try to catch some big largemouth. 1rst pocket we went in caught 4 with 2 keeps and 2 mised blow ups on a Horny toad and the 2 of the 4 came flipping a trick worm, hit several other pockets with fish missing my frog. So I figured I would try something a little slower that they could key in on like a Sammy, next stretch of bank we hit we caught 8 keepers all on a walking bait, with the biggest pushing 6, best 5 all came right before dark and would have weighed about 15 pounds. Best evening I have had in a while.
