  1. Great report Bill! I don’t have enough to start a new thread. Hope you don’t mind me posting here. Caught the k at dusk from the dock on table rock yesterday. One knocker spook. Boatless this morning so ivy ok the fly rod to Taney below the dam. Pics of the best 2 below. Picked up the boat this afternoon. Hope to have a better deep jig report tomorrow.
  2. My boat has been in the shop for a few things Picked it up on the way down this morning. Got on the water around 1:00. Water temp 84.1. Idled out of the cove, got on plane and the motor died. Put the troller down and fished the jig on the way back to the ramp. Caught this one on the way back in 30 fow. Sub 14”. Drove the boat back to the shop and the guys jumped on it immediately. Should be ready in the am. Next report may come from the dock or below the darn....
  3. sssshhhhhhh.......!
  4. Thanks Bill, Bo and others. I’m heading down tomorrow and through the weekend. Hope to report the same. Will provide updates regardless. David
  5. I think everyone should just get a participation ribbon😂 ....if not, how about the top 6 get lures from the remaining 26? 1st place = 8 2nd = 6 3rd = 5 4th = 4 5th = 2 6th = 1
  6. SplitG2 was what we named a big buck I shot several years ago. His left G2 tine was forked. The pic was a sunset looking toward the dam on Taney during a fly fishing trip. I keep meaning to change it. Fun thread! Thanks for starting.
  7. “......Cables only last 5-7 years before they begin to get so stiff that they have to be replaced.....” Guess who needs new cables?🖐
  8. Wrench - this is mine. Took the pic to learn more about it and find out if it’s still in good shape. Does anything stand out to you?....good or bad? Thanks
  9. Thanks for the original post Jared. No doubt it’s reached a lot of people and will make a difference to someone someday. Glad you are ok.
  10. Prayers and thoughts to all involved. http://www.fox5krbk.com/story/38688785/branson-ride-the-ducks-boat-capsized-with-multiple-people
  11. Very informative, whether you tournament fish or not. Thanks for sharing.
  12. May have just put 2 and 2 together.  Are you the same 196 on the bbc board with the good  looking new 210?

  13. Glad to hear. I’ve deep hooked more than I’d like to admit with the slab spoons and Dixie jets. I’ll probably throw the big flutter spoons more going forward.
  14. I caught 2 on a Dixie jet spoon the next morning. The first was caught deep but clean. The second choked it hard and was difficult to remove. He made it but I decided to put it down after that and move on.
  15. 196 - I bought some bomber jointed Minnows but they aren’t as light as the red fin and don’t sit as high in the water so I go back to the the fin. I’ve also seen a guy on you tube modify the Redfin by removing the second half and replacing with a treble which I think would be a great option in certain situations on table rock but haven’t tried it yet. A good friend and mentor turned me on to the Mann’s minus one a few years ago but haven’t tried it on schooling fish yet. It’s hard to switch in the middle of the action. Let us know what you find with the other options.
  16. ... And there’s a top water bite on main lake points in the morning. Wolf packs of spots and smallmouth were crushing shad the last two mornings. They seem to like the wake bait better than the spook. David
  17. Forgot to post the odd one. Here it is.
  18. Similar to the others, I found them this morning in 28-30’ at the end of a long gravel run out that usually produces this time of year. Fished a jig while I searched for the shad but no takers. I found the shad and started drop shotting. Immediately hooked up and caught them consistently until I got too hot and sweaty to enjoy it anymore. Started with UV green finesse until I ran out and switched to the Zoom Plum, which they liked even better. Here’s a few pics. Nothing really big, but had a great time. All spots except for one funny looking small mouth. This post has been promoted to an article

  20. Toby Jig. (Nutech TJ Jig). Name it after your four legged fishing buddy. I’m a little sentimental after losing mine to old age this week....
  21. He’s taking some time off for personal reasons. Another post suggested trying fin and feather in Springfield.
  22. They look good. What brand of hooks?
  23. Caught some good Spotted bass on bluff ends but ditched them to search for LM’s to weigh in. Any other weekend i would have stayed put and had more fun. Congrats Brett. That’s a few years in a row for you.
