Fished a small work tourny out of Aunt's Creek. Launch was delayed because of the fog and it was a pretty chilly wait.
Finally launched and started fishing a few chunk rock to gravel transitions in little Aunts. Got a couple small bites on a biffle bug but no fish in the boat.
After an hour or so the fog had lifted and we decided to run to the Joe bald area and fish banks leading into pockets. We threw rock crawlers, jigs, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and a ned rig trying to get bit and failed miserably. Had one decent fish on a jig come off at the boat but it was some tough fishing.
We almost called it quits early but at about 3pm the fish in our area turned on and we finally started catching. That gave us about 30minutes to catch a couple keepers and a few shorts before the 4pm weigh in. Lost another keeper at the boat and ended up weighing 2 fish.
Weights were definitely not the 20+ that everyone expected and I was happy to see that we were not the only ones struggling. Ended up winning the big bass pot with a 5lb 3oz off the ned rig. Thanks for reading.
