  1. Gizzard shad. Yes they can get pretty big. Stockton last weekend had hundreds floating from die off. Some of those were huge.
  2. just tilt your head
  3. With my club tourney coming up this saturday, I thought i better get over and fish the area. I put in at 4:00pm and fished til 6:45pm. I caught several nice whites, and 8 bass, with 4 of those being keepers. Water was pretty clear. It can only improve from here.
  4. you can buy new 150 decals online
  5. Anytime Wes, You guys have fun this weekend. We will be putting in at Bolivar Landing tomorrow afternoon.
  6. anytime. Its a great lake, with plenty of structure of all types. If you get down there and have any questions, hollar. Ive been fishing that lake for the past 16 years, pretty hard. If you have good sonar on the boat, look for the drop just off the east point of Coopers Cove. When i was there last week, i talked to a guy who caught a few keepers on the point across from the ramp at Bolivar Landing. Good luck.

  8. here ya go Schenk
  9. Thats a good ramp to make use of the north part of the lake. We put in at Bolivar Landing mostly, but Lightfoot is another good area to fish. Either way, for a starter, find Coopers Cove, its just north of Lightfoot, on the west side of the lake, and work the east mainlake point, and fish back into the cove. The west point side has lots of cover, and has held lots of good bass for us over the years. If you strike out there, head south, and try the cove just past the island, to the left. I have a little area in there I call the magic triangle. Ive caught some nice fish off 3 stumps that are in a triangle shape. If that fails to produce, which it will have fish, then continue south and fish the main cove to the right after you go past the bluffs on the right. As far as the Lindley Arm side of the lake, your on your own.
  10. Were the scales used the Pro Tournament Scales? if so were they the 357? Looking for a used set, if anyone knows anything. If not I will be buying a new set by weeks end.
  11. what area of the lake you planning to fish?
  12. I was there last sunday. Water was stained. Not much floating debris. Water was really low then, ive got the bent prop to show for it. im sure its come up since then.
  13. Taylor would be my choice
  14. Ive got a starting and deep cycle. Both are 3 years old and no sign yet of failure. They still charge and last as they did new.
  15. can i get pics? i will PM number
  16. Hey 424, Theres a couple threads about the get together. Looks to maybe be an annual event now.
  17. Nice fish. We put in at Aldrich, fished up to Cedar Ridge, not a bite. Talked to several fishing for whites and crappie and not one had fish. It will eventually pick up.
  18. your welcome
  19. good itmes, but what about the snake bite kit, for when those water snakes fall in the boat from a tree when getting your lure unstuck? Oh yes, its happened.
  20. Rain? Aint ever stopped me from doing anything before. Just got back from getting a new prop put on the boat around Reeds Spring. Slight misting but not rain. About the same in Springfield. We plan on being there around 7.
  21. those are good areas. I usually fish out of Roark a few times a year. You did better than us on Pomme.
  22. If you leave the bill off, it may scare the fish into a heart attack. Looks like a largemouth, bug eyed, stick bass. Cool bait.
  23. Thanks guys, All they had at WallyWorld was a weedeater pull cord. I got it all back together, and it actually works. This is a MotorGuide, with no cutout channel on the bottom end to make it easier. I had a Minnkota on my Stratos, that had a cutout channel on the bottom that made changing it a 2 minute job. This one, with zero room in there, took about 20 minutes start to finish. Thanks for the offer Griz. If your not going to use it, im more than willing to pay ya for it. Im not working tomorrow, so i can meet ya anywhere. Im on the S/W Springfield area, not far from Kansas and James River area.
