  1. Perfect weather
  2. Without a doubt he will buy out all of the lesser selling companies. Less compition and more demand for his boat makers. Smart business but man.
  3. Looks like Ol' Johnny has purchased Legend Boats. With an empire like his already, he just continues to grow. Is it possible so that he can fade out these other brands, and put all pros in a Nitro over time?
  4. Nothing atall wrong with that setup 176. I have never purchased a new boat, vehicle, and only 1 house, which i built myself. My truck is 9 years old now, and running strong at 278000 miles.
  5. Everything, especially boats it seems, is rising in price way faster than my raises. Watching a Hank Parker ad with him talking about his start with Ranger, and showing pictures of his first few Ranger boats shows we have come along way from that era in boat design/comforts, but dang, the price has doubled the comforts of ANY boat.
  6. When i get the Xpress X21 i will welcome anyone, at any time to go for a ride, and a few hours of fishing, if your wanting to compare the ride and fishability/layout.
  7. Ive owned glass rigs since 1990. Several aluminum bass boats in those years also. Im going to go out on a limb here, as everyone on this site knows im a huge fan of aluminum bass rigs, and say if you put that Xpress X21 next to any glass boat of same size, other than the glitz and glamor of metal flake on glass rigs, and fiberglass wheel wells on the trailers, it would surprise me if less than 50% of people at a boat show wouldnt pick the aluminum boat when figuring price into the factor. The aluminum boat will handle waves just as well as the glass boat "sorry die hard glass guys", with same motors the aluminum will leave the glass boat way behind on speed, the aluminum will fish so much more shallow than the glass, im not scared when i bump a log, or beach the boat " tho i hate scratches", and the list could go on and on. Again i have owned more boats than most, as i buy and sell alot. I would own a glass boat again, and probably will at some point, but apples to apples, theres no comparison. Get you an Xpress and be happy.
  8. Im lost? Care to explain so i can make sure i post an accurate response?
  9. I hoping that i can run from Beaver Lake to Eagle Rock for the OA tourneys and beat Champ, Mike and the rest of those coming so i can get first dibs on following Quill or Ham around to their spots.
  10. Stepping up to the Xpress 19' with the 150, with Hyd. 10" plate, Hyd. Steering, and other goodies was a huge upgrade from the 18' Tracker with 115 and none of those options. Now the plan is to step up to where i wanted to be originally with the 21' Xpress with the 250. Cant go any more upgraded than that in an aluminum boat, and that is the beast of all aluminum. It will happen, as soon as i please the wife with selling this place, and buying another. Thanks for the luck wishes We have spent alot of time down there the past month just looking. I will be sure to find out which parking lot the lineup will be taking place. I will have plenty Daryk. Really enjoy being able to host when possible.
  11. Haha. Some just dont get it.
  12. Boat speed have little to do with anything other than that of safety, after a certain MPH. I used to own a Wakeboard boat and would take my son and his neighbor friends to the lake after school started in Aug. at 6am so they could get better at what they loved, rush home 10 minutes from the ramp, and take them to school. As stated, its the added water ballast at "slow" speeds that make the wakes, at times depending on how much ballast was added, 3' high. I can say tho, that we never got close to other boats, boarded where there were docks "We were only ever on Pomme" and stayed as center of the channel as we could. A boat running fast has less wake than a boat plowing, of any size boat. I say go fast for less damage, unless your in a cove area.
  13. Little further south around Bella Vista, Rogers area. My wife is a real estate agent if you need help. I built my house 4 years ago, and with just the 3 of us, at just over 2000 sq ft 4 bed 3 bath that size works well for us. But 1700 for living alone is stretching it, but in my single days, i think my buddies would have loved that. Well the move decision literally came the week after i sold the boat. I knew the boat would sell fast for what i had it listed at, and the first guy that looked at it bought it. The plan was to sell it and take that money and to put on the new boat right away. Guess i waited a week to long for her to tell me no. I found tge boat i want in Tx. but didnt commit fast enough. I went 3 months last year. It was a struggle after about 8 weeks because i normally fish 3 or 4 days a week. I missed our club tourney last month, the first time missing since it started 3 years ago, and that was like taking my candy away after letting me chew on it for 10 minutes. It hurt.
  14. Another Xpress but the X21 instead of the X19. May be late summer as selling house and looking at another comes first wife says.
  15. The past 2 mornings have been beautiful. Crisp and cool for this time of year. It makes a guy feel the need to want to go fish. Havent shore fished in along time, but selling the boat last month, to upgrade, has left me with those feelings. I thought with this summer boil that we have had, that i wouldnt miss that feeling, but these last 2 mornings proved that wrong. Im sure we all, as avid fishermen go thru this, but dang.
  16. Nope. Still laying here in bed reading about bass fishing. 😜
  17. Im telling ya Champ, i changed my picks 3 times, thinking i was making the right choices. Now looking at my original picks, i would have been better off keeping them. Like ST says, 2 more days for my current guys to step it up. They got their work cut out for them.
  18. Good job Quill. That was a rough one for me.
  19. Quill, In the 2nd picture you can see the back of another boat. Both of those tow rigs were identical. My wife and i both commented that the families in both couldnt have been older than mid 30's. Lots of money tied up in those setups
  20. 1,8,18,19,24
  21. We were down in the Rogers area today and seen a few sweet boats/rigs. Check out whats hanging off that transom.
  22. 10th to 5th today for me.
  23. Thanks for the replys guys. Once we get down there, i will be sending a few friendly PM's looking for food, fun, and water. We ate at Chuys mexican 2 weeks ago. The best chips i've ever had. Wife and I like to explore and try new places to eat, so the first month will be finding food. Mike we are trying to stay north of Rogers, between there and the Mo. line. I appreciate the info tho.
  24. My wife and i have been spending the past few weekends down there looking around the areas. 2 weeks ago we spent the weekend in the Rogers/Bentonville/Centerton areas, looking at houses, areas, etc. Today we focused on the Bella Vista and Pea Ridge areas. Im a country boy so the open areas of PR caught my eye. While driving around we came across a few lakes in tge BV area. Are these fishable? Open to boats? Bass population? Also any areas for those of you that live in that area, that we should stay away from?
  25. Camping/fishing/floating? Heck yea, thats what memories are made of. Cool gadgets out nowadays to make that lifestyle more comfortable. Even 110 a/c units fo the tents.
