  1. Haha, good song. Man im telling ya, if i didnt know better, i would swear i was a beginner bass angler so far this year. Worst year on record for me as far as numbers and size. Yesterdays tournament i threw seriously everything i could think of that i thought would catch fish. Heres the lesson learned part tho...... I caught all 3 fish before 10am on a C-Rigged worm. I broke that setup off on a snag, but was to intent on catching 4 keeper "13" on Pomme" with the Ned, that i fished it for 4 hours straight without a fish. Now a smart man would have taken the time to tie on another C-Rig and go back to catching fish. Have i said i hate high water?
  2. It was tough for myself. Only caught 3 fish all day, with 1 being almost 3 pounds, all dragging a C-Rig worm on points 20' of water. First place had a limit, but not much weight. 10.5 pounds. Big bass was 2.15. It was a beautiful day out. Zero rain and cloudy. I will be happy when the water goes down
  3. Holy moly. After todays tourney at Pomme, im pretty sure im in the same league as you guys.
  4. More coming now. Tourney in the morning out of Bolivar Landing. Do me a favor and shut the water hose off for the night up there. Hate for it to ruin my pattern that i dont have to catch those fish.
  5. What area do you live in Mo? Uncles place was around Cooper Cove "Elkton" before he sold it. Spend most of our time between there and Bol. Landing
  6. For those that live around the lake, tie the boat up. Its coming.
  7. Quill said it best.
  8. Who did the rep work for Dutch? that may help figure out brand possibly.
  9. Yep seen it live when they were cutting and removing. Grigsby did a fine job.
  10. Ruark to the dam Tue. and nothing. Few smallies and a first for me. a crappie on a C-Rig worm. water is safe to run.
  11. Lost my transom transducer on Stockton yesterday. Looking for a XHS 9 HDSI 180 T if anyone happens to have one. Thanks Humminbird 999 ci HD SI unit
  12. That would be nice post spawn as those 21" fish are skinny.
  13. HaHa. Now thats not nice to rub it in. Perfect response Daryk.
  14. Tho i wouldnt cheat to save my life, there will always be those that would add lead down the throats, manipulate the scales in someway, etc. Just never see it happening in the real world.
  15. Thanks for the update.
  16. Hey Dan, looks like you've got another 6 years left in that carpet. I had an aluminum Lowe several years ago that going down the highway, the whole rear deck carpet flew off. It was in bad shape, with literally 1/3 of the carpet torn or missing. It looked nice after i redid it. For me, im a carpet guy. In my home, trucks, boats. Just something about the feel on my bare feet. I do fish shoeless alot when its not below 60 degrees. That vinyl that alot of the new boats offer now would be to hot for me i think.
  17. Now thats what camping/fishing is all about. We do the same. Saturday is always friend/family time to come up and eat dinner, then the guys go fish til midnight or so. Memories made every trip.
  18. Great info Dan.
  19. Thats a pretty good day. AND, you wont soon forget it due to the redness. ?
  20. Sounds like a great day Jacob, especially during the transition, and high water situation. Lots of guys who fish that lake often, including myself, have alot less luck at times. Good job.
  21. Sad deal. To young to be gone in a situation like this. Ive swam that cove many times with my son and his buddies, but we ALWAYS tow our lifejackets hooked to the back of our swimsuits just incase. Not being negative towards this young man, just saying what we do. Im sure his family is hurting and could use prayers.

I first started out about 80 yards out, thinking that with the heavy fog, that there would not be anyone dumb enough to be running on plane. Well that lasted about 20 minutes before the first one ran by. Could have slung my C-Rig into his boat with ease.

Appears you must have been one of "those" huh? So at 25mph your telling me that you are safer than at 3mph in heavy fog? I will wait for that answer before responding to the other.
  24. Ruark has always been my suggestion to people. Great ramp with 3 lanes, nice dock thats always accessible, huge overflow parking area without having to walk back a mile. And its in a good fishing area.
