Nice setup Billet. I agree 100% with the lack of sleep due to humidity. Tho I enjoy Boondocking, my better half loves the feel of fresh showers daily, lack of noise from the generator, and a store close by for the conviences in case we run out of something. Not much better than the camping/fishing lifestyle, especially in the spring/fall.

Hey Dutch. Do you pull a boat behind? Where do you find yourself camping the most "areas of the Ozarks"?

Boondocking is camping off the grid. Without power hookups, water source, etc. requires more planning, and usually a different "items we must have" setup, and thoughts of how much water to use, and more careful flushes of the toilet as to not fill up the black tank. Nothing like drifting for hours to a secluded place, and setting camp. Lots of memories over the years. Now it's more about taking "everything" but the kitchen sink it seems. And having a water source, AC/heat, and a comfy bed rules "as she says". I'm still a rustic kinda guy, but knew that in order to make it a family friendly event, we needed a camper. Ive owned a few over the years. Started out in the 80's with a tent trailer. It did its job many years. Upgraded to a 1991 Coleman 22' camper, and thought we were in heaven with the comforts. Upgraded in 96' to a 28' 5th wheel and realized that was the perfect size and tow type for me. Then decided to go with a 31' 5th wheel and that little extra room was very noticeable, especially with a growing family. Now that my older kids are out of the house, and we just have a little one at home, we downsized to a Four Winds 25' bumper pull. 1/2 ton towable as it's pretty light, tho we pull it with a 3/4 ton truck. Still haven't upgraded the rear bumper to attaché a hitch to tow our boat, but it's coming, eventually. We waited til the last minute, as we weren't going to go camping on Fathers Day Wknd this year, and kicked the idea around Wed. After scanning all of the Corp grounds on TR, with not a single opening, we decided to reorganize things in the camper this weekend instead. Now time to plan for the next outing. Lake Texoma is coming soon.

Just curious as to how many members are campers? If so do you have a travel trailer, 5er, or motor? Any of you boondock? Just getting to know people better.

Got one laying around wrench? Merc controls, single cable "for now", something in the post 2005 era.

Pretty well used baits. I've hung them in brush many times. Have fun with it. It does catch fish. Change out baits on it until you see what works best.

Same here. They keep it very hush hush as to not draw a crowd. Just wish I knew what ramp they were using.

Heard that the MLF are filming on LOZ this week. Saw a video today of their launch, but I'm lost as far as that lake goes. Anyone seen them or have info on launch location?

The lake has a good population of musky for these parts of the nation. The walleye are catchable if you know how to fish for them. The lake had a good population of white bass a few years ago. We would have 100 fish days often up river during the spawn. The bass fishing is as good as anywhere. Lots of quality fish if you know where to look for that time of year. Good luck on your trip.

That's my thought. We see a show staged for drama within the show a lot. I'm not sure that the deputy would have had any say so as to what they were doing. Something smells awful fishy to me. ?

I had a Yamaha 50 four stroke and it trolled very well. Quiet, smooth, and slow. I now have a Merc. 2+2 115hp and troll with it. They made this motor to run on 2 cyl for lower rpm's and at 1800rpm's all 4 kick in. So far with maybe 20 hours of troll time this year, not an issue.

To Ca. with a very distinct Tx. ascent, in elementary school, that I had better grow thick skin, or my feelings would get hurt on a daily basis. Well, I never let my feelings get hurt. Jason, I'm not sure what you are reading, seeing, hearing, or making up, but when it comes down to the end of the day, when you lay next to your wife, nothing that was said really matters, does it? I see why you get the teasing on here that you do, do to the remarks you make, and the things you have done" or didn't do", so my suggestion to you is, if your going to play with the big dogs, then expect them to play back. Everyone here knows how you attempted to put on a tourney, but didn't, how you post pictures of bass, and say that you will fish against anyone at anytime, and how you say things that maybe aren't 100% accurate. With those things comes backlash. Again, at the end of the day, it just doesn't matter does it? Toughen up buttercup.

Thanks Quill, The day after we got back from Grand, we searched online on every site possible for that bait, with zero luck. I then contacted L.E.S who stated they no longer carry that color of bait. They referred me to a color that was what replaced the one I had, but it didn't interest me, so I left it at that.
