  1. That has been my only dislike about these transducers, is the spray. Yes it sprays about a foot above the cowling while on plane. Other than installing a splash block above it, i guess theres nothing else but to live with it.
  2. Oh my heck, I hope I didn't wake my sleeping wife up. That was good J. But on a serious note, I'm pretty sure that's me when I'm on the water seeing those fish symbols.
  3. Nice write up Al. Sorry to hear your fishing will be cut short, but glad to hear it's for a great cause " taking care of your spouse" I agree, those healthy larger fish are a memory those smaller fish can't make.
  4. Sounds like the wind was the trick. Glad some were caught
  5. True. Seen someone on the west side set up with pontoon, tents, kids, and all. They are making it a family reunion. There was no less than 30 trailers there today.
  6. Only in the White River side of the lake. I wouldn't even consider taking it to TR if your going out of that area. Those non-White River fish are pretty smart creatures and will shun that bait.
  7. On a side note, came across Truman on 13 Hwy today and lots of snaggers up that way.
  8. Hey Ben, Yes think I will hit the James and see what I can find in terms of crappie and whites. Andy "above" fishes that area a lot more than I do. He is full of info. But I will report what I find up the James.
  9. Sounds good Andy. I will shoot ya a message Sat. Evening.
  10. I wondered the same thing. Just figured TR had a few, but had never seen any personally. Thanks for sharing.
  11. That's a dandy.
  12. I've heard the same thing from others there Ham. Do you think those were just lemon reels, or that size that has the defects?
  13. I agree guys. Those small ones are perfect sandwich size. Going to try TR this week to see if we can do any better.
  14. Fished Beaver Creek yesterday evening. Water was 60. We caught 11 total in 3 hours. Saw several fish being caught on the A-rig. Several boats and shore guys fishing. Threw white sliders. Most fish were the 9" males. Fished mainly along the road towards the back. Still a little early for the big females.
  15. Sorry J, I was just trying to see your graphs and "borrow" your screen knowledge. ?
  16. Nice boat Marcus. What's the length on that center console? When ya come down this way "TR", holler if that Dodge can't make the hills and I will tow ya up them. ? My boats ready year round.
  17. thats a good bag. Good luck next weekend. If they allow pre-fishing the day before, i would re-check those same areas to see if fish are still present.
  18. DK, Myself nor anyone else was telling you off. What we are trying to get across to you, and any other lookers, is when you join a site, fishing, hunting, etc. its always best to share stories, give small details of your successes if any, get to know those that post "via comments back and forth", and then put in the time of being a part of that group, before, again "before" you ask for locations, secrets, times, baits, etc. I personally know a few of the guys here, and any of them would tell you anything they knew to help a buddy out. In the meantime, share details of your outings, join in on the conversations, get to know these guys, and before you know it, you may be invited out fishing. Just me speaking openly, no bashing as im not that way.
  19. That would be tough to say. Atleast 2 more than photo as Phil and myself took pictures. I chatted with 2 other boats while fishing that were with our group that are not in the photo. Great turnout indeed.
  20. Nice fish. Californians do things ALOT different than we do. Chalk this up to one of them. As stated, one of the benefits of fishing, is finding fish. That usually requires many hours of burning gas, time, etc. When that happens, it makes a guy pretty tight lipped.
  21. And Jol, as Phil stated, without clicking on a title like that, a feller could be missing out on "something". I figured it was a place where the drinks were cheap on the water.
  22. Did he catch it, and did you hear any "Baahhhh" after?
  23. Thanks to Phil, Jeff, Quill, and everyone else who organized this. Fish weren't that hard to catch, but keeper fish were. As far as the weather goes, boy did it beat last years. Didn't quiet reach that 70 degree mark, but a perfect day overall. Enjoyed meeting those I hadn't. Maybe a fall get together? October before Halloween sounds great. Fall feeding frenzy should be strong.
  24. Man, thanks again J. Great review of what those shots show. As I studied these pictures again this morning, guessing what I saw, my thoughts were pretty on par with what you stated. The arches making up tree branches never clicked until you stated that. The upper water column never came to mind either. I just figured prop wash every time. Those larger archers "possible catfish" was a guess for myself. I figured either a roid sized walleye, or a shark had invaded TR. again, thanks for the mockup. I will have more for ya as I see things I'm unaware of.
  25. Looks like the rain is about to stop. Going to be a good day. See you guys soon.
