  1. Headed down for a turn and burn Last Saturday to join the night time army, all 16 of us! Was an absolute blast with some great company and great food. Fishing for me was just a bit slower than the past few weekends, but the signature series were putting fish in the boats for sure. Got to meet some crazy talented folks and share fishing stories all evening. A memorable night indeed. The rack of lamb, ribs, and deer back straps were unbelievable. Duane posted on Facebook more pics, but heres a couple. Thanks buddy!
  2. Wow that's really cool! There were scuds everywhere around Phil's dock on Saturday. Blake was out power washing and the pump was full of them when he got done.
  3. Interested to see the report on shocking. Have you talked to the hatchery folks since then? Anything big shocked up?
  4. Dang, you guys are getting it done there... what's for lunch tomorrow hahahahaha I'll be down hopefully by then
  5. Yay, I can reply again on my Android Phone using Chrome.
  6. We caught a bunch of 18s and 19s and they were all just chunks... nice toad there buddy. I bet that was a blast on the long pole.
  7. Yeah got some bruisers in my pond... they fight harder than some of the bass lol These are apparently little ones compared to what they grow out west.
  8. Nice catching. I too love me some red ears on the fly rod!
  9. Hey T, I also PM'd you instructions for a 1 fish guarantee lol. It sort of works...
  10. Go get em buddy. Looking forward to more reports. Night time is right time!
  11. Sounds like a fantastic trip of catching! Glad you guys were able to have such success.
  12. Nice job again on day 2! Glad you had a safe trip. Hopefully a bit less crowded than Saturday...
  13. So made it back home around 5 today and crashed during the cards game lol. What a great trip this was and I've been on a pretty good streak of getting some really good conditions to fish. Night time boat fishing really put it over the top. Both nights we went out the trout just hammered the Signature Series from the boats. I have bruised my rib cage from my hook sets... one thing I'll need to adjust from wading to boating. Just massive braid stripping hits... They were angry trout this trip and hitting really hard. The French Pearl and sculpin were money and really only fished one or 2 different sizes the whole trip. Really no reason to even bother tying on anything else at this point. I know I sound like a broken record, but it amazes me the catch rate with these lures, the guys got them dialed in. Surprised they're not outlawed Thanks to both Blake and Seth for taking me out. I'll never stop wading, but it's fun to mix it up for sure with the boats. I also got another convert with my buddy who's first trip to Taney got some cooperative fish, and he even got a brownie and 20in bow. Go get em tonight @fmcbrandon. You got this cuz and I hope you guys stick a monster. Until next time...
  14. So that Dylan is like a 2nd or 3rd cousin and does know the Harris family, but I was fishing with Blake from Phil's place.
  15. Nice report C4F. Glad you were able to get out and find some.
  16. Not too much to wade but you will still be kind of limited to where you can get to. You can pick around the edges, just be careful.
  17. Pretty colors on this guy
  18. Some daytime fish! Weird right lol
  19. Found a few brownies
  20. Well it was a pretty awesome night in the books. Blaken broke 20in, and I got another 1 fish guarantee with a first timer I brought down with me. His first daytime taney trout was a doozy of a rainbow and his first nighttime Taney trout was a 20in bow up bythe Dam before we met up with the rest of the gang. Seth and his buddy met us at Lilleys and we boated all the way up to the cable. Fishing started off slow for our boat, but then started getting stupid with tons of doubles and lots of hookups as we worked our way down to the root wad. Right at 1AM they blew the horn and that really seemed to wake them up. Both boats were over 50 fish between all of us.
  21. Hahaha well there is that... you only get one shot at em. He would of messed up my pretty net anyways.
  22. Haha unlike last trip when I forgot my big boy net, this time she'll be strapped on my back or in the boat. Good mojo on that ol net lol
  23. Well nothing big last night. I had one at 17 and Blake's buddy Levi had one at I think 18. We boated up to trophy run, it was def not on fire but right off the bat Levi hooked up. I whacked a fish on the French pearl and next fish was a fatty 17in walleye that went home with Blake. Fish were fat and healthy and hitting pretty good. Then the horn blew and the generation and trash in the water started... Made it pretty tough, we caught fish, but nothing like what they were hitting when water off. We did manage a few doubles and one triple though so all in all a great night with some great company, and def some good laughs on the water last night. Plus I even got to sleep for a minute in my old age lol. Gotta rest up for tonight's marathon. I hope the water and fish cooperate.
  24. So a few of you know I was released from my hospital IT contract about 2 months ago... Well after a crazy few months of fishing with a few job searches mixed in I was blessed with another opportunity. My play time has come to an end so I figured I'd squeeze in one last trip before I go back top reality... Meeting Blake tonight to go chase em, and Seth's coming tomorrow for round 2. Hoping we can find a big one tonight!
  25. Beautiful brown and what a great trophy. Congrats to the angler and it sounds like he did all he could to try and revive it. This fall is gonna be nuts!
