Crazy I must have missed this when John first posted it, sadly I've missed allot of things this past year to the crazy business of life. I too am closing in on 40 in a few years, and I am pushing myself as hard as I can, because I know it can all be gone in an instant. Sooner or later I won't be able to marathon fish as my body tells me enough is enough, but until then its Game On! I catch allot of friendly grief about how I fish like some possessed madman, death marches with kids in tow on creeks , 18 hours in the waters of Taney at a time and many sleepless nights hunting for the next bite, and chasing brownies while my boat captain takes a nap, but truth of it is I don't want to waste a single second of the windows of time I am able to get out on the water. Can't wait to see ya soon John. Know you'll always have your fishing buddies here in MO when you make it back.

I too have some of the Famed BH tackle... I too am a worry wart about catching a fish on them and potentially losing them... LOL The man flat out makes some amazing lures. Forgot to add Nice FISH! Bet that cat was fun on the ultralight too!

Flysmallie has a great point. I vote we rename them all. Slick heads, stinkin Walters, all the good slang names we'll just call them officials. All the gills and sunfish are just perch. And all the little ones well just call bait lol

I will say that even though it's a put and take fishery, a few we caught had been in there a while... Don't I get a counselation prize at least for the spring Creek trout? Suckers were rare as hens teeth to find today lol

Man tough crowd lol. Marty started it! We did not fish for the brown trout by the treatment plant, and hey there is a native small jaw in there. Caught a goggle eye too.

Rubidoux fished much better today. My buddy whose from there said it didn't look like it has been stocked recently so we were targeting mostly the hold overs. Fish were fiesty, and I had prolly a good 16in on for a minute that too me for a ride. Awesome little creek though, I'll def fish it again.

Success at spring creek this morning. Fishing was tough. Heading to roubidoux now...

So I would call them first and ask them if they can inspect the rod for defects. I agree a 6 month old rod should not be breaking in that manner. If thats the case maybe they would replace it outright or under the cheaper option possibly? Obviously my experience was different on a 5 year old rod out of warranty, but I found $60 for a replacement on a $120 rod that I broke was pretty fair treatment. Hope they take care of you, and good luck.
