  1. rps, thanks for the report. Glad to know that you still have enthusiasm even though classes have begun. Good luck this school year. Mike
  2. We went out yesterday Thursday, and tried a number of spots around where bobby b fishes. We had the same result he did. Bass were on the graph but weren't interested in anything we threw. So we had fun trying to catch bluegills. WT 82.6-83.3 tough day for sure. Mike
  3. Cobra, nice pictures of healthy fish. Thanks for the report. Mike
  4. Wrench, you provide a valuable service for your customers. I know because you found me a part for my '89 Johnson 150 that local people couldn't find. So if you are content with your business, don't feel embarrassed. I appreciate you being there. Mike
  5. I stopped watching the news 10 years ago. Now that I am retired I get on twitter and follow news organizations, reporters and politicians on both sides. And I am able to post a response to them when I agree or don't agree. It is much better than just yelling at the tv. I get some satisfaction out of it. Mike
  6. QB, I'm counting on you to be the one to do it. Mike
  7. blue, sweet pictures. Mike

abk, I've previously signed the CPR document and continue to pay the daily fishing fee by putting the fee in the fee box on the dock so I am ok. Can't say anything about the rest of them who fish the private waters there. Mike

Split, I certainly agree with that as I've caught my share from those sloping points. Unfortunately, the 2 wake boats kept going back and forth across the mouth the entire time. It was hard to stay out there with the rollers they were pushing. Mike
  10. The good thing about opinions is that everyone is entitled to their own. My opinion is that I will take advantage of the best deal on the products I want. But that is just me. Mike
  11. 176, is there an eclipse? All the hoopla reminds me of Y2K. I disagree with QB, a 3 lb SM is not as exciting BUT a 5 lb SM is waaaayyyy better than an eclipse. lol I was wondering....they say if you look directly at the sun, you could ruin your eyes. But what happens if you look directly at the moon? Kind of makes you go HMMM.... Mike
  12. Cobra, thanks for the information. Sweet pictures. Mike
  13. Finally after two weeks we got out for a couple of hours today. Launched at Moonshine and headed to the keeper Mitch off of that no name cove so we could get our confidence. Mary caught a nice giggle eye out of an empty boat slip in a two stall dock. We caught 6 bass altogether with the largest coming on a shakey head in the picture below. If abk zooms in under my right elbow he will know where I caught it. The watch dogs were out for a while so we waited til they left. WT was 80.4 to 82.3 when we took out around 2:30. 2 Wake boats wouldn't move from the mouth of the little nitch. So it was fun fighting the rollers. Mike

  18. Joe, thanks for the repot. Great pictures of healthy fish. Mike
  19. Thanks for sharing. I always wear my yellow OAF hat when fishing. Mike
  20. c4f, I hope the beeeep is nothing serious. Mike
  21. kdc, thanks for the information. Nice looking fish. I haven't seen a consistent topwater bite yet this year. Mike
  22. bobby b, thanks for the report. Sounds like your pattern is holding. Mike
  23. Champ, I so agree with you. Here on TRL the pleasure boaters don't seem to understand that the main channel is not the place to drift and swim around your boat. Many times I come around the S curve near Indian Point and there are boats just sitting out in the main lake with many people on rafts in the water holding onto the boat as it drifts. the traffic through that stretch is terrible without the added hazard of the drifting boats. This past week we had a family reunion and I took a number of them on a pontoon boat ride from the 86 bridge to the 13 bridge and most of them wondered why the boats drift in the main channel. Many of them said at least at LOZ they drift in a cove away from the main lake. And the COE wants to remove buoys? Remove the main lake drifters!! Mike
  24. snagged, you are correct. I can sit on my deck and look south from the dam towards Long Creek and the boat traffic this year is incredible. People tubing and wake boarding around boats just sitting in the main lake. Mike
  25. arsenal, congratulations and thanks for the report. Awesome story. Mike
