  1. Bill, thanks for the report. hopefully the lake will set up well for some exciting fall fishing. I have refrained from going out since the water got to 927, but it doesn't seem to bother the pleasure boaters.
  2. Bill thanks for the information.

is there a reason for the floaters or is this normal for this time of year?
  4. Sounds like my trips since the water rise, can't establish a pattern so i just went fishing. Thanks for the report.

  10. Nice report. Thanks. Gotta love that buzz bait bite.
  11. Your comment is spot on. I have fished my share of tournaments and that mindset is completely different than the mindset I have when I am not fishing against others. Catching a fish that might not measure 15" is still exciting for me and I'm 65. Cody, i understand your adrenalin rush when fishing a tournament I still get it as I prepare for my annual tournament with a bunch of railroaders at LOZ. The adrenalin really spikes when I bring in a nice bag. But Dave is correct, if there is no tournament, that is the time to explore and enjoy. I'm heading down today for a 10-day vacation and expect to try some new areas, new techniques and post some reports.
  12. While future generations as a whole may be more tolerant to differences, there is a huge gap between being tolerant in the way someone dresses and being tolerant of a person(s) who decides to take your boat for a joy ride while you are inside the marina. But when they bring it back don't forget to apologize to them. After all it is not their fault, you left the keys in it. Mike
  13. I heard Table Rock in the rain means the top water bite is a real possibility. Any truth to that? Mike
  14. I totally agree with hiring a guide especially if you are there for a week. Hire the guide the first day and then you will have a more memorable time on TR. Mike
  15. Nice report. Glad to see them biting down there. Mike
  16. I swear I've been waiting behind those guys on the ramp many times. Never thought of a shovel though, HMMM.....lol Mike
  17. you can check this site as it lists all the regatta permits for MO lakes. paste it to your browser. then select the lake, month and year. http://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/WP04Web/app/searchRegattaWeb?action=Search+Again Mike
  18. Bo, how was the water level around there? Mike
  19. The first one is the hardest. Keep that knowledge and add it to future trips and post your reports here so everyone can learn from each other. Worked for me. Mike
  20. Thanks for the report. Glad to see the bass over 5 lbs. Mike
  21. Thanks, nice report. I like to hear that the area you noted is producing. I am most comfortable fishing that area. Sounds like a great way to spend a few hours in the morning. Mike
  22. I was up there last Saturday and it was dirty with a lot of big logs floating. Has it cleared up at all? Mike

    Take Rock

So how much weight did you have and what were the top 3 weights of the tournament? TW bite, eh? HMMM.....not much of that going on lately. Lucky you! Had to be fun getting 7 keepers on top. Nice work. Mike
  25. LM, TR is a COE lake therefore living right on the water is different than LOZ as the U.S. govt owns the shoreline and you have to get permits to mow or plant trees, etc. there is also a 2year pause on dock permits as the COE is studying the dock sizes and locations. There r many homes and condos for sale all over the lake. Some have community docks and others don't have any dock. Prices vary but now is a good time to start looking. I'd suggest you look at zillow or trulia websites for homes on TR. that will give you a good basis for location and price. You can also visit sites on the internet that rent homes or condos by the week. As for a resort for a week there are plenty that are just resorts with a pool. Last is you can hook up with a real estate agent and they will send you tons of opportunities because they want to make the sale. We did this in 2010 and looked for a year before we decided on the location and then the house within that location. Good luck Mike
