I have a 13 year old alumacraft that i bought new and never used the live well. I use it as dry storage, i keep a cooler with ice for the ones i keep.I dont fish tournements so did'nt need the live well. When on ice i don't have a slime problem and they clean up nice.

I was in a bait shop the other day and met this older feller and he was telling me about fishing at sons creek off of a Hy 39 north of greenfield. I was just wondering if it would be worth the trip or a waist of time. Don't know what to expect is there a launch? or just shore fishing.Either way is fine by me i enjoy whitebass and crappie and THANKS for the input.

I don't like the fact that i have to drill holes in my motor to mount a trolling plate.I have a 16.5 alumicraft V hull with a 75hp 4stroke.I took a piece of nylon rope and tied it from one of my front cleat to the other.Then go under the boat and measure 14in on both sides of the keel.At those marks i tied on two 30in drift socks.And yes you can troll with them inspite of what you heard,i've been doing it for 15yr.The reason for the duel socks is for better steering.I can go from .7 mph on up.They dont get in the way when you land a fish because they are all ways under the boat.The bags i use are Lindys from bp because they are thicker.This system has worked very well for me and if i hit a real windy day i can use them to slow down my drift when i jig for walleyes.

A note to blacknose. I never used flys like in the picture you show.My question is if you put this under a float would you be draging it back? Or leave it stationary.From the picture it looks like it would hang vertical if stationary. This all may sound dumb but like i said i never have used flys and just wondering.

I don't know where the KC star gets they're report but I've been out on both flats twice a week for the last two weeks.I haven't seen any action on the surface yet. Most of my white bass have been hitting about 3ft off bottom when I snap my walleye rig up and let it drop.Maybe I'm not in the right part of the lake .

I was out thur on the flats fishing for walleyes with no luck but short ones.I reeled in my lines to call it quits and white hammered it so I came up with a thought. I took a 1oz egg sinker with a 3ft lead and a rooster tail and trolled it at 1.5mph 3 to 4 ft off bottom ended up with 7 whites.But as far as anything on surface seen nothing.

I use power pro 10# with a floro leader 10# also works good for me no twist or kink.

That sounds like a lot of work I'm out there for a little RR not fish maintenance. I carry a cooler with ice if I'm going to eat it in the cooler if not back in the lake. I bought my boat new 13 years ago and never used the live well for fish I use it for dry storage.

willson3144 I never night fished under lights and I was just wondering. You mentioned in your post that you had one light submerged at 15 feet down. my question is if you have one down that deep why do you have a floating light. Can just a floating light be as affective?
