Good ending for something to go wrong in the beginning ... at least the wind dint blow it over to the other side and you didnt have to swim after it...I usually climb in the bed of my truck and step down on trailer then climb in boat and start it up and then go and untie or unhook bow but i have used the rope thing to launch a couple of times. I have an automatic bilge pump in my boat and always turn it on auto when im launching that way if i ferget the plug and water starts coming out thru hull i know something is not quite right. I know someone on here that forgot to pick trolling motor up 1 time and took off, luckly it did not tear anything up..

I may be down at Shell Knob tomorrow also...

I'm a thinking im going out tomorrow instead of today, boss may be mad but he can go with me if he wants...lol...did some work on boat and updates so need to see if it will still float.

The only time i have gotten wet in my champ was taking off with trolling motor down and about the time i got on plane a wall of water came across the bow and washed me and the inside of my boat down....lol

I can't pass any rangers in my Champ, unless the Ranger is broke down...lol..57 -60 gps in my little 176 with a 135 merc.

Thats fast enough in any boat as far as im concerned...but they have improved Rangers performance over the years...

IMO I would not out of respect for the guide since that's how he makes his living....I think part of the fun of fishing is finding them.

Just bend the barbs on the hooks flat and when you have a fish on just give it slack and hook come out then you dont have to handle the fish.

If i go out Saturday or Friday i will be in a 1989 Champion with a 135 merc charcoal gray glitter boat with a light gray sides and blue pin stripe oh and rose colored windshields...lol
