I have a Shimano sedona FE 2500 spinning reel and havent had any issues with it, bought it last year on sale for 30 bucks, i have it on a Shakespeare 7 foot medium ugly stick.

We use to troll a 1/8 oz white jig with a gold hook on it down in Florida to catch white bass, my son caught an 8 pounder on a zebco 202 with 20 pound test mono on it, he fought it for like 20 minutes and the drag on the reel could not hold the fish...lol...had to back boat up several times so he could get line back...he was about 12 years old then.. -
