Sorry to hear of your troubles Steve and i hope they get it all fixed up. I dodged a bullet myself seems i had a voltage regulator catch on fire and dont know when, pulled the cowling off to look things over and some black crap had leaked down the back of the engine block took it apart and found this. Seems older mercury's are noted for this...cost for OEM regulators about 400 bucks,, the new ones have a fuse in them.

I was a mean mouth this morning when i found my voltage regulator melted on my Mercury outboard......lol Them warmouth perches put up a pretty good fight and they fry up nice also...

Well my toilet paper roll is getting shorter as im 62, but im more concerned about what fishing will be for my 11 grandkids and 3 kids in the future.

Why would it be a loss for a couple of years if you shut down or restrict bass fishing for 2 months a year?

Yea why would the tourists industry what to do some that could possibly bring in more revenue in the following years...it just doesnt make sense.

Just think if no one caught fish off the beds and let this fish do there thing, what the population of fish maybe in the years to come, too me it's a win win deal. Maybe just maybe TBR would be headed back up to the top ten of fishing places......this is the sole opinion of mine, this in noway says anyone is doing anything wrong....lol

No matter what is put into place for regulation, your always going to have that % of ignorant people taking illegal fish, but still something has to be done. Fish grow faster in Texas and Florida also due to the warmer climate year around.

I feel deep down something has to be done, thats why i posted what i did, it may not have been the answer but abkeenan and bo have come up some good ideas.

With all the tournaments going on and the weekend warriors, this has to impact the fish on Table Rock pretty hard, especially in the reproduction of fish. I have often thought why they didnt have a season on fish like they do other wild life. Like close Bass fishing during spawning season ti give them a fighting chance to reproduce...i understand that this would make if rough on the guy's that fish for a living like Bill and Phill, but could make fishing better in the long run......just a thought all...not trying to stir anything up.

And to add to that all the weekend warriors that will be out...with 80 degrees for Sunday...jet ski's and wake boats galore...lol

They use a form of super glue for gluing your skin together today in the medical field.

Since im a mechanic my skin get dry and cracks in the winter from the oils and solvents that my hands are subjected too...but if i stick with rebuilding transmission my hands are always clean and soft....i havent really found anything to help with the cracks and dryness other than automatic transmission fluid...lol....my skin is so tough that when i had to have a squamus cell cancer removed from my wrist, the doctor was bending the needle on the syringe when she was trying to numb the area to be cut..
