  1. Very sad news, always appreciated Bo and his knowledge.
  2. How much were you asking for the 10'? looking for something to paddle across a slough for deer hunting. Thanks!
  3. I found it interesting that he was getting the same, actually more, bites with the 12lb leader. those smallies are so mad on the bed it didn't seem to cause an issue
  4. Wheeler is flat smoking them, not the biggest fan of his personality but he can catch em. 11lb in the last 20 minutes. I'm ready to make a trip haha!
  5. John Cox has got to be one of the fan favorites, the guy fishes every derby known to man!
  6. Boy they have been catching em! Went up to Grand Traverse Bay 5 years ago or so in August. I thought the fishing there was amazing, St. Lawrence looks even better!
  7. Fished Wednesday evening, tried dragging a jig around in some new areas but didnt have much luck. Did run into a few of those big goggle eyes. Couldn't drum much up so i made the milk run the last hour and boated quite a few on the gravel, swimbaiting, 20'-30'
  8. Fished 6/22, same story with the swimmer and Dixie Jet. Mostly non keeper sized fish but had over 30 in a few hours. Back out tonight, going to switch it up and drag a jig around
  9. Fished last night from 6-8:30, Shell Knob area. Consistent action with a small swimmer and Dixie jet, mostly on gravel, 20-30ft deep Fished 2 bluff ends but they only produced a few small fish. Talked to a guy at the ramp and he had a flurry for 30 min. with a chatterbait in the wind on main lake bushes. I was hoping to run into a Walter! Back at them tonight i suppose.
  10. Where is this located?
  11. We caught several this weekend while targeting bass, all on a swimbait. they were on main lake gravel in 18-25ft, some real dandies
  12. This happened several times to me Friday and Saturday. This guy didn't really bother me, he can have the bank fish as i was several casts off. Sorry i got on the water before the derby kicked off Saturday. After an hour of silence I lost my cool when he pulled between myself and the spot i had been catching them on. He then apologized profusely and said he was in panic mode when he pulled up and i was there, as this was the only spot he found fish..... Have that conversation in a civil manner right when you pull up and i would have gladly left.
  13. Fishing and catching were both great this past weekend. Threw the surge shad, 3/4 oz Dixie Jet and a 2.8" swimbait on a 1/4oz head. I struggled on the bluff ends but had a ball on the gravel banks and points just outside the spawning coves. Didn't get out until 9:00AM Friday but fished until 5:00PM, they ate the top water all day long. Caught fish from just outside the bushes early to keeping the boat in 30'-40' 2-3 casts off the bank later in the day. Also had several fish spooning docks on Saturday when the sun came out a bit. Hopefully these derby guys go into hibernation before too long. The lack of respect and on the water etiquette has gone completely out the window. Saturday morning was a complete sh*t show. The excuse of "I'm in a tournament bro" and "This was my #1 spot" is hardly an excuse. Maybe a "Hey we are in a tournament and would like to fish this point, Do you mind?" would go a long way. I would happily fish elsewhere and leave it be for you. Instead they pull in and take the silent approach within 20 yards of you, pretty unbelievable.
  14. Good Morning, I know this is a little off topic but the crowd here is amazing and very supportive. This year we will be hosing the 4th Annual Warrior William Bass Tournament October 9th, although it is at Lake of the Ozarks, I thought I would share the link for the tournament as well as the raffle we currently have going for a Garmin 93sv and Livescope Transducer. Below is a link to the website where you can review past tournaments, pictures, details of the charity and more! It is a fun event to raise money for an even greater cause. On the home page is a link to buy raffle tickets for the Garmin package as well, the drawing will be held May 17th! https://www.warriorwilliam.com/ Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions! Thanks! Brad Meyer

  16. Good Morning, I know this is a little off topic but the crowd here is amazing and very supportive. We have been lucky enough to make Shell Knob somewhat of a second home and have been visiting the area for over 30 years, the people in the area are as genuine as they get! Hence reaching out via this forum. 17. I have a HDS 9 Gen 3
  18. This is the definition of the "I'm in a Tournament BRO" crowd What a clown, that Co Angler is holding on for dear life.
  19. Good Morning, I am on the hunt for a 410 shotgun. I purchased a 20 gauge 870 to introduce hunting and the shooting sports to an 11 year old girl. She is a little hesitant with this firearm so i thought a 410 might be a better option for now. Anyone have anything they would be willing to part with? Thanks!
  20. Boy that's great news! Maybe after the thaw we can hook up for a float n fly trip!
  21. My favorite micro sized craws for small jigs or just fished on a jighead https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-baby-stik-o-craw https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-tournament-series-incredible-craw
  22. Sounds like it's scope em or be left in the dust. I wonder how many keeper sized fish Pete would catch given the same conditions without it? Luckily i don't fish much competitively but its going to be hard to compete without it.
  23. I know this is a long shot but thought I would throw it out there. I just picked up my first M1 Garand and have been on the hunt for some ammunition. Anyone have any military surplus or standard 30.06 they would part with, for sale or trade? Thanks! Brad
