  1. Now you know how I feel when you are catching all those walleye in the middle of the week I can't figure out how to make fishing very lucrative, but if I do I will let you know.

  5. Great looking boats ! I bet they will fish well, If you can swing it a top will save your skin on these hot days. I don't use mine often, but when I do it is a life saver ! My friend is 6'2" he can easily stand under mine.

  11. I don't know about the walleye Dan comment, it was an off the cuff term of endearment that Brain came up with, probably because, I am ate up with walleye fishing.
  12. Thanks, there are very few days on Stockton that you ask God for wind, this was one of them, I was asking for sure.
  13. It was hot, no wind, but we did manage a few fish. The drum, catfish, and sunfish were very aggressive even in the heat of the day. We also managed a couple different species from the bass family, white, spotted, large mouth and small mouth. My friend took home a limit of walleye, and several catfish, and some really fat bluegill. We had a good time on a hot day in the 90's with no wind the water was 89 to 91 in some places.
  14. I really want to fish for these sometime soon, probably B Shoals, suggestions are welcome.
  15. Nice boat. If you have to piece out the electronics let me know, I might be interested.
  16. Hey pink is a very productive color. I am going to try some new stuff tomorrow, It will be something new for me I will post the results. You have some nice stuff. Pink works great, why ? I know shiners will turn pink during the spawn, what else could be pink in the lake? One more thing... Bud's Bait in Carthage has bulk gold rotating hooks, I bought 100 for around $2
  17. I guaranty they will remember those fishing trips for ever, mine do.
  18. See if you can get that kid'o to hook a big'o walleye, that would be cool, I want to get in the truck and head down there right now ! Let us know how you do !
  19. Very nice I would love to catch some walleye while in waders. Thanks for the report.
  20. We live in an area that is mostly open. A family that we know well, owned a young small breed dog, several mornings in a row they witnessed a coyote, playing just out side their yard fence ( barbed wire ) in the field. The coyote would play, role, and jump around while the small dog watched from the yard, and the family watched from the window, this went on for three days or so. One day the small dog decided to join in on the fun, and leave the yard. Suddenly two other coyotes came out of nowhere, needless to say the dog became a meal for three coyotes as the family watched from the window. I also read that urban coyotes feed heavily on house cats and strays, I will keep my opinion about coyotes to myself, I will say this they are smart, work in numbers, and are opportunistic, they are here for a reason, and I have shot many of them. In my neck of the woods there are several chicken growers, and dairy farms, their dead pits and compost areas keep an abundance of coyotes in my hunting area. While this may be an isolated incident, I would not trust my fluffy puppy with a coyote.
  21. I haven't tried a flutter spoon, but I do throw a jigging spoon a lot, and love it. I might try the flutter spoon some time. I will be watching this post to see how it develops. Thanks.
  22. When you are bottom bouncing the rule is usually 1 oz per 10 ft, 20' 2oz etc, but you go much slower 1.2 mph or less. The cool thing about what you are doing is that now you can push or pull any bait at what ever depth. Try some floating stick baits, and little square bills. Braid with a leader of choice will keep you from changing line every other trip. Very nice thanks for posting
