Big family Christmas party got canceled today due to several being sick. So I headed to the river around 1:30. WT was 48 and slightly murky. Cloudy but pleasant around 55 degrees.
Ramp was a sloppy mess and there was a big pile of sand I had to back over to get the boat off the trailer. My truck, trailer and boat are a mess. I’ll go to the car wash tomorrow.
I caught 5 in about an hour and half then they quit. All on Crank baits and @Mitch fs fugitive swim bait. Broke off a bigger one at the boat on the fugitive. Looked to be about 17-18 inches.
I think in the winter the bite is better mid day and not so much early and late like summer time. I think I got there right at the end of the bite because they were “on” when I started but turned off quickly. The dark black line on the board is 15”s.
