  1. This debate could easily turn into a who's a better running back ... Jim Brown or Emmit Smith? Or who's a better home run hitter ... Hank Aaron or Barry Bonds. Us Marshal Faulk. Albert pujols😁
  2. Needs a fluke anchor
  3. Graduated summa cum laude 😁
  4. I went to school while I worked nights at GM. Finished my BS when I was 39. Got me off the assembly line and into my current career. There were 10 miserable years mixed in there though. Builds character and gives you an appreciation you can’t get anywhere else. I left GM in 2000.
  5. There is a guy on our Nextdoor app that does odd home repairs and after his first year he's hired 2 guys. He lives a couple streets over and I talked to him about it one day. He said he never leaves a house until he talks to the owner and makes sure they are happy with his work and he asks for a write up on the app. Like I said, with modern social media it's way easier to do that than it was 20 years ago by word of mouth. This guy started with a trailer, lawn mower and trimmer 3 years ago. He lives near me too. https://www.lopezlawns.com/
  6. The one thing I rarely hear about is guys your age going into the trades like HVAC or in your case mechanic work on their own. I have several friends that make a lot of money owning small companies that they built up from just themselves in a van or truck. With social media today it's easier than ever to network yourself from one job to the next.
  7. And even then you may not make great money for the amount of education you went through. Relative to other disciplines....
  8. Maybe a Sequoia?
  9. The place we stay at is wake boat central I hate to say. A guy in the boat yard told me $150k minimum entry price and most are easily over $200k. We had 7 in our yard last week at that time. They start early and stay out late too.
  10. Yes but you made it sound like it was a common occurrence. On that I cry bravo Sierra. I was 17 sitting on the hood of my sweet 70 mercury Monterey at In and Out Market (no kidding) eating a sub sandwich when this lady came over and started eating off the other end. 😁 Now help this guy get a job.
  11. I didn’t get a boner over it. I think you’re full of crap about a woman answering the door in a tee shirt and panties and all of the sudden your making whoopy.
  12. Me!?!? You need to snap back to reality. Your porn addled mind is running away with you again.
  13. We can only hope. 😂
  14. 🙄. Here we go again with the porn scenarios. Let me guess. That happened 3-5 times a week😂
  15. You are right about the engineering degree. 60 hours of math, physics, chemistry and dynamics. Gotta get through calc 4 in math. That can be difficult if not taken consecutively one right after the other. Good jobs are like fishing. You can’t catch a nice one unless you’re in area that has them in the first place.
  16. Reap what you sow I guess....
  17. Nope. Regular old oil every 5k. Now that I think about it the cheap oil change uses a blend.
  18. My wife folds my underwear too. But I figure if she’s doing it I don’t complain. Same as cutting the grass. She ran over a pile of rocks and ruined the blade I just bought a new blade. The stupid guy across the street went all ballistic when his wife ran over a sprinkler head that didn’t retract. She never cut the grass again. Since I don’t go into the office anymore I just wear tee shirts and shorts or jeans. All go on a shelf or in a drawer. But I wouldn’t complain if she hung them up. Like I said. I can do laundry. 😁. Why ruin anything by opening my big mouth. How old are you? I figured you’d have learned that by now.
  19. Smart man! I can cook and do my laundry 😁
  20. I bought a floor jack, a grease gun and 2 pregreased replacement hubs for a little more than having them serviced once. I’m doing it myself now and carry all that in a tub in my truck bed. I enjoy mechanical maintenance. I may not be a mechanic but I’ve fixed all kinds of stuff at my house. Refrigerators, garage door openers, lawn mowers, plumbing issues and now service my own trailer. YouTube is a game changer in that regard. Oil changes are too cheap to do it myself anymore.
  21. Are you going to Roy before that?
  22. I replaced the original with a TH marine product. I’ll have to check for any wear.
  23. Yes a certain amount of showmanship is a given to be successful on YouTube. I think he offers some quality advice on some things. Never go with a smaller displacement hi pressure engine. They just wear out quicker and require more maintenance.
