I think Missouri just passed an additional gas too. I guess I’ll keep to a 5 county area like @fishinwrench. St charles and Taney county being the two I spend most of my time in. 😂. I didn’t say contiguous😁
I drank all the time. Not to oblivion but all the time. Problem is I like the taste of beer. I drink NA's now and again. Kaliber is actually quite good without alcohol.
Sounds like a great time! Pictures would be nice.... I still love a good tiki bar. That was my biggest concern when I decided to quit. All of my friends and family still drink so I didn't want to miss out anything. I went to a wedding last week and had a great time while everyone else drank. I didn't have to quit or need to quit I had just been thinking about it for a while. At 60 all of my health "numbers" were slowly getting worse. As you would expect as we age. So I thought if I quit drinking maybe they would get better. And they have.
Yep bringing the tin can. I’ll be over on Taney so it really isn’t a big deal. but I had the browns dialed in the last two trips so I think I’ll have to start over again to find them.
These things improved my cooking more than anything. Sous vide is in the basement with the crock pot and instapot. I just can’t get full in with sous vide.
I can do med rare to medium. Usually order medium.
Lately I’ve been cooking mine on charcoal again and I can’t be happier. Plus I do the sear, rest, sear, rest method. They come out beautifully done. I was on a bad streak with the gas grill. It just doesn’t as hot as charcoal.
My son has been drawn in the deer hunts there. I thought they closed it during the hunts but I guess not. Some huge deer in there. I've always thought the hunting would come to an end there sooner or later. Heck the high school is right there.
It’s been a wildlife area forever. Hiking trails are the new deal. Me and a buddy were squirrel hunting there years ago when someone fired some shots that hit trees near us. We yelled up the draw that we were down there so they would quit shooting our way. The firing intensified and they had us pinned down for about a half hour. We could hear them talking and laughing. They finally left and we bugged out.
How did you do? I live in St Charles and know lots of guys who used to go up there. It never was a great bass lake and when the crappie all stopped growing at 8-9 inches everybody quit going. Not sure I know anyone who goes up there anymore....
