  1. Stop into Lilleys and they'll line you up with the latest jig colors. Sometimes white/grey is good. Let us know how you do please.
  2. We had -4 this morning. You know it's been a long cold winter when I go out to feed the birds in quarter zip, and come in and tell my wife it's not bad out there....😆
  3. I meant the shop, chicken and dog pen. I have a 2 stroke thrower I never use. I’d rather shovel than hit the treadmill.
  4. Nice!! Man I wish I had something like that.
  5. We got a few more inches of the powdery stuff. Dang cold! Anybody know the road conditions around Branson-Hollister? I want to come down but probably wait until the weekend.
  6. I just shoveled 2-3 inches. Radar looks like another round headed in later.
  7. They've crossed the line today!!😂 Snow and 4 degrees! This is ridiculous.
  8. Calling for 8-10 inches for Hollister tomorrow. 😐
  9. I did a tackle reorg over the weekend. I thought it would help the shack nasties but….. It did not 😆
  10. Photos are automatic EC. And much appreciated!
  11. Extra credit for using “spurned” in a report👍
  12. Note to self. No devil dogs on camping trip with @fishinwrench
  13. I’m all ready to go to the condo at The Rock but I’m going to wait until next weekend. Can’t wait to get back down there.
  14. Como? Hang in there, brother. Next year we’re spending more time in Florida in January and February. Every year I tolerate cold weather a little less.
  15. Chocolate covered bacon is pretty good. Healthy too😆
  16. This is getting out of hand! Who's responsible, is what I want to know.... I get cold just looking out the window.
  17. Hey @fishinwrench The dock at this place was home to about 7 or 8 guides plus the eco tour people. No Mercury motors in the whole place. Yamaha, Suzuki and hondas. I asked a couple guides about Mercury and they all said NO Way! I thought you might be interested.
  18. Smoke some devils lettuce, grab some headphones and dial em up on YouTube.
  19. Chickens everywhere which is cool. This one trying to eat off my plate.
  20. Sharks and pelicans eating guts from the guide trips.
  21. Thx. One more year and I’ll be down there a lot more.
  22. I was surprised how similar the flats were to the Bahamas, cancun and Cozumel. And backcountry mangroves. I was wishing I had my boat. The water is very placid in the winter. If anyone goes you can rent a skiff at Robbie’s on islamorada. Which I will be doing next time. Hopefully next January again. Dozens of tarpon under our dock. No fishing on it though.
  23. I stayed in marathon Florida, February 1 through the 10th and the weather was spectacular. 75 at night and 84 during the day. I did not book a guided trip. I’ve done dozens of saltwater trips and honestly they have gotten to a price I’m just not willing to pay. 🤷‍♂️. I hit several state park beaches and caught lady fish and finally a lifer jack cravelle! About 15” and it’s crazy how hard they fight. All my kids and even my wife had caught one before but not me. Bahia Honda has a nice flat and that’s where I had the best luck. The Fugitive swim bait got absolutely tore apart but very few would get hooked. Switched to an old twin prop bang o lure in chrome and they destroyed that too. No pictures as I was wading far out on the flat. Literally hundreds of yards. Sorry @Johnsfolly And of course we hit all the tourist stops from key Largo to Key West. I can’t recommend it enough if you get the chance.
  24. We just got home after 10 days in the keys and still a little left of the giant pile from the plow. Ugh, is all I can say.
