    When I was a kid we used the Nike fly. Just a white shoe string on a hook. Now it's called the mega worm. Not sure when the "mega" worm became a fly but I was using a shoe string at Bennett in the 70's.

    Is it legal or not? 4$ for a trout!!! You can get the same flavor profile from the pellet machines for a quarter a handful at the hatchery. And you don't have to clean a trout.

    My in laws have a place in fort Myers and I had to go back and look at the dates on my pictures. It March 2016 they had the red tide down there too. Water out of Okeechobee was skank water and killed everything in it's path. Ruined the fishing in Pine Island Sound. LOZ is a hog factory.

    Yep, it's just the start of fishing season for me. Well technically it starts in October for our annual trip. 30 or so year run for that one.

    I had one circle me while fly fishing in the Bahamas. Looked like a reef shark and I backed up to the sand while it paced back and forth in front of me. It wouldn't take a chartreuse/white clouser though.

    There are a few videos of guys wade fishing and sharks swimming around them. I think Captain Theophile Bourgeois has one from a guide trip with a shark swimming between his legs.
