    Man I need to sell some fly rods. I must have 20 of them that will never see the light of day. Some brand new and never used. Winston, Sage and a Double L I think. In Sage I know I have VPS and a Light Line that would be a sweet park rod.

    If you are staying in NO there are guides in Myrtle Grove too. A lot closer to downtown. I don't remember the guides I used out of there. I also fished with this guy a few times and would do it again. He put us on fish from ding to dong. https://www.facebook.com/bourgeois.charters/ He picked us up from our hotel on Canal Street.

    I have a little nonstick pan I used but it was still quite a bit. Next time I'm cutting back on the olive oil since I didn't spoon any over the top. But it was really good.

    I saw this recently and gave it a try. You fry the egg in about a half inch or more of olive oil. It has a higher smoke point than butter so you get a nice crispy bottom and edge while the yolk stays runny. The egg sets the minute you drop in the hot oil. If you want the yolk cooked more you just spoon hot oil over the top. I went just slightly too long on one of them but it was killer. I flipped the first one over so you can see the bottom.

    I replied with my approval right away to this original post but after reading all of it now I change my mind. After thinking about it I believe they would have been more successful had they staked out out in the park specifically looking for game violators. And making a show of the bust. After all that was the intent of the check point right? They probably could have caught more between the spring and the campground than out on the road leaving.

    This water had about 1 inch visibility but it is loaded with carp.

    I tried for a whole summer one year and gave up. Never even got a tug. I think the water I fish is just too muddy. I could see them tailing and even had days when they were taking cottonwood fluffs off the surface. I had a CDC fly that looked just like the fluffs including the little seed in the middle. Nada, nutin, squadush, squatamala.
